Fantastic stay – great value for money
We had a really lovely stay here. I was expecting it to be a bit louder, but it was surprisingly quiet – couldn’t hear a thing in the room or even out in the hallway. It was a Tuesday night, but still, very impressed.
The room was super clean, a great size, with crisp white sheets, comfy doonas, and good pillows. It had a modern feel while still keeping a bit of that heritage charm. Loved the big bench and sink in the room – very handy!
The bathrooms were clean but on the older side. The women’s had two showers but only one toilet. Parking was easy, and even with the dodgy weather, access to the room wasn’t a hassle at all.
The bistro was a highlight – we had the pumpkin soup special and the kids’ fish and chips. Both were excellent. The wine list was decent, and everything was reasonably priced.
All up, $100 for a twin room was a steal. It was warm, cosy, and we couldn’t really fault it. The only two little suggestions: checkout at 11am would be nice, and a small table with the chairs in the room would be handy.
Thanks for a great stay!
