Nice hotel, friendly staff. Room was clean and spacious, comfortable bed. Biggest downside was that all of our lights in the bathroom and entry area stopped working when we got up in the morning, had to pack up with our phone flashlights. We were getting ready to check out so we just let the staff know on the way out, but still an odd/annoying issue to have.

Staff was great and room was clean. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within a 5 mile radius. Nice little gym. We did not use the pool, so I can't comment on that. The free breakfast smelled really good, although we had other morning plans and had breakfast elsewhere. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Extremely clean rooms! Housekeepers do an excellent job! Staff is so friendly and nice. Everything was excellent! The only issue, and it’s not even an issue I’m just saying it for the sake of feedback, was the pancake machine being either broken or out of service two out of my three mornings. I was kinda bummed about that, but the one day I had pancakes, they were excellent!

People were pleasant, a new employee couldn’t answer much for us. The property owner charges a $10 a night fee to park in the parking lot on the hotel property. It’s not mentioned on Expedia or added into the nightly bill. It’s taken out of the card you give them for incidentals. Upon checking out I mentioned it and discussed it with the lady at the desk. She did end up waving it. I have never paid for parking in a hotel’s parking lot. Especially a holiday inn express. I was very disappointed in this. Coldwater is not Chicago or some big city in California. It’s a rural town in lower Michigan. I feel as if this owner is taking advantage of ppl and pocketing the extra money. Also the lobby smelled of strong perfume like odors. I’m Not sure if it was the cleaners they use to mop or freshners placed to make it smell good. It was a Very loud odor though. Although breakfast was decent. The bananas had gnats all over them. Maybe keep them covered if the gnat are a problem In that area?
