Arrivals on August 16 are impossible by car, as the authorities close the city on the occasion of the Feast of St. Vincent, an emblematic celebration of Collioure. This festival, which pays homage to Saint Vincent, patron saint of winegrowers, is a festive and colorful moment, bringing together locals and visitors around traditional parades, folk dances and local music. The highlight of the evening is undoubtedly the spectacular fireworks display, considered one of the most beautiful in the department, illuminating the bay of Collioure in an unforgettable way. The event attracts many spectators, making access to the city difficult on August 16.
