I recently stayed at this hotel in Cologne and I'd recommend it. It was walkable from Cologne Central Station. The room was lovely with a large shower. YouTube was available on the TV. I loved the art in the room, especially the mural on the shower. Overall, great stay in Cologne. I'd stay here again.

I liked the location of the hotel. Most attractions can be reached on foot from the hotel. It’s right on the Rhine too, which was lovely to look out onto every day. Breakfast and the service was excellent. Great choice of continental or cooked breakfasts. Staff on reception were always friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Situated at the river bank and less than 15 minutes walk from the old town, this hotel was a great choice for us for a weekend stay. Spacious room. River view. Comfortable beds. Very friendly staff.

Still a Decent Hotel, but Standards Are Slippin

To start with the reception: the staff seemed disorganized and untrained. During check-in, they couldn’t find my reservation and responded in a way that felt accusatory — as if I was trying to commit fraud. That kind of treatment is completely unacceptable and far from the standard I’ve come to expect here. On a positive note, the hotel itself remains clean and well-maintained, with a pleasant atmosphere. However, one downside is the designated smoking area — including staff members — which is located right at the main entrance. It leaves a poor first impression as you arrive. Parking is excellent, with options both in the underground garage and in a small lot outside. That said, the rate of €25 per night is quite steep. As an alternative, I’ve often parked under the Severinsbrücke without any problems. Unfortunately, I also had a troubling experience during my stay. Despite having a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, housekeeping attempted to enter my room at 6:30 AM, and again at 8:00. While I was downstairs enjoying what was — to be fair — a very good breakfast, I realized I had left my wallet on the nightstand. I had just withdrawn €200 the night before, and when I returned, I noticed €50 was missing. Yes, I understand the importance of not leaving valuables out, but this is still unacceptable. When I reported it to the front desk, the response was a simple apology — no further investigation or offer to follow up. Sadly, these recent experiences have made me reconside

Breakfast had good selection and staff friendly. My only problem was the the air condition is still replaced by the heater. I had a room facing main road so the noise from the traffic was bad but no option as I needed cold air

Fine, but not amazing.

Fine, but not amazing. Some staff very friendly, others less so. Originally given a double room when a twin was booked, told by staff I hadn't booked a double (when I had), though it was dealt with it was made to feel like a massive inconvenience for the member or staff. Couple or bits in the morning room not great, toilet flushing button hanging off wall, needs touching up in places.

We arrived at the hotel to find out that there would be no power between 12 pm and 6 pm. As such, the hotel could not take a local tax payment that’s due on site because their credit card machines didn’t work. Our rooms, had been paid for in advance. We later went out and came back late at night and found that our key access to our rooms have been cut off Because we had yet to pay the €18 in local tax. Additionally, the staff at check-in were incredibly unfriendly and rude. The only exception was one man in the evening and Tobias at the bar. The rooms were very very average and cleanliness was not terrible but not at all convincing. Only one left worked during our entire four days stay and it took an eternity to go up and down. I would not recommend the hotel however, the proximity to town was good. They should replace everyone who works here.

Had a lovely stay everything was nice walkable distance to shops. Room was stuffy at times and air con took a while to cool me down as it was quite sunny weather conditions. Bed was huge was expecting a single but it was king sized so that was ok. TV had BBC and itv channels so I could even watch Match of the Day! Stay was good only minor detractors and these are extremely minor I may add were the lack of coffee in room and reception. Although when asked I was allowed to use the breakfast coffee machine which was lovely. Also when cleaners came round I was in an out all day and they only got to my room when I got back did give me some coffee though so that was a bonus. There was also so small bleachy staining to corridor carpet. This is being extremely nit picky had a lovely stay easy to check in after a stressful journey just wanted to eat in the hotel restaurant but it was not available that would have made my night a lot less challenging as my daughter was upset at having to go out for food on top of all the stresses of a first foreign visit and flight.
