Welcome to the Highland Hangout! This centrally located condo in the Short North is the perfect getaway for couples or a family looking to kickback in a stylish condo or enjoy the nightlife that Columbus has to offer.

This condo has been furnished to create a relaxing atmosphere for all and IG Worthy! Based only minutes away from OSU, downtown and German Village, our spot is a perfect home base for exploring the city.

You'll fall in love with the stained glass details and vaulted ceilings.

You'll be feeling at home in no time with the large Smart flatscreen tv in the living room and one of the bedrooms, ample dining seating, laundry facilities and supplies.

Grab a seat at the kitchen island and shake up a nice cocktail with the utensils provided at the bar cart.

All parking is street parking only. While the one spot we provide for you is free, we will need your license plate state and number so we can add you to the city's digital parking system. There is not a dedicated spot but you'll be permitted to park in the zoned area surrounding the home. Please pay close attention to Parking Signs and do not block wheelchair access ramps.


The home is walkable to all things Short North. Going a little further? You're only a short drive from most of the city's biggest sites: 28 minutes from the Zoo & Aquarium, 8 minutes from the Museum of Art, and 14 minutes from Franklin Park Conservatory.

Not so far? E-bikes, E-scooters, Lyfts and Ubers are abundant.

Nationwide Arena and the Wexner Medical Center are both only 1 mile away.

- Please note that the entire unit is located on the second floor - guests must navigate stairs to reach the unit.
- We love our neighbors! But we do share walls with them. You may hear noise during your stay.

  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. Orton Hall is built of 40 different Ohio building stones. In the outside walls, these stones are laid in stratigraphic order according to their relative positions in Ohio's bedrock. The bell tower was dedicated in 1915 and contains 25,000 pounds of bells that can be heard regularly tolling across campus. Extremely disappointed

My family of 6 plus our dog travelled 16 hours to spend a week at this house. We never got any checkin info from the management company. About an hour before our arrival I got nervous about not being able to access the property. I sent messages, called the company along with 2 emergency phone numbers on file with no answer. I call VRBO and they cannot get in contact with anyone. After we arrived, we sit outside for 45 minutes while being placed back and forth on hold with VRBO. They were finally able to get in contact with someone and were told that they didn’t know why the automatic message was not sent out. We got the code and were able to get in. The description said there was a kitchen with enough supplies to cook for the family. This was Easter and we planned for an Easter meal. There were only 2 pots in the house. No baking pans. Every cooking utensil was plastic. Home was advertised to sleep 9, we disclosed that we were a family of 6. Yet, there was 1 dish towel in the house, 5 bowls, 6 plates, and an assortment of cups. The dishwasher wasn’t even bolted down and would fall forward out of the cabinet if you opened the door. The chairs and bar stools had screws falling out of them and were extremely wobbly. We were supposed to be allowed a guest parking permit but never during our entire stay did anyone reply to a single message that I sent out. We could only pay for 1 hr and 45 min at a time and ended up with an outrageous bill and 1 ticket. I don’t have room to finish

Comfortable and spacious

The property was very clean and very spacious. My daughter and I were extremely comfortable. My dogs enjoyed the yard. I read a review about rugs but its not true the rugs were very nice. If you're looking for a piece of mind this is the place other than not being told the washer was out of order we had a great stay and will be booking again!!

Short stay

We had a quick 2 night stay and the house was in a great location close to many amenities. It was a nice property with a fenced in yard for our two small dogs, which is what I was looking for. I was a little unimpressed with the lack of attention to the back yard (grass wasn’t cut) and quite a lot of overgrowth over the fence line. The patio, which had a fire pit, table/chairs, and sofa would’ve been a really nice space to sit and lounge in the evenings had not been kept up, therefore wasn’t a really usable space. The inside of the upstairs apartment was nice and spacious. There were several upgrades to the kitchen and bathroom. I gave the apartment rating 4 stars because I love an old Victorian style home, but the shag carpet in the bedrooms desperately needs removal and the exterior balcony/grounds upkeep needs a lot of work. It definitely met the short stay need and we enjoyed our stay.

Nice location

The check in was easy and we really appreciated the garage provided which made going and coming safe and convenient. The property had everything we needed and had a lot of charm. The hosts were quick to respond if we had a question during our stay.

Great stay at wonderful accommodation

Great communication from hosts, tons of bedroom space, excellent high end kitchen and fabulous backyard with 2 car garage. Definitely best VRBO stay ever!!

Great place to stay!

I definitely recommend staying at this property! This house is just a few blocks from the Short North strip of bars and restaurants, so if night life is your thing then you should totally consider staying here. The house was clean, cozy, and most importantly felt safe to stay in. If I’m ever back in the area I’ll definitely be checking to see if this house is available!

Good house in a perfect location

We enjoyed staying at this house which is updated with modern conveniences but keeping the charm and character of the Victorian architecture. It is within walking distance of both Ohio State University and downtown. Great restaurants in the North Short district just a few blocks away. Neighborhood is beautiful and felt comfortable walking everywhere we went. Loved the deck to sit on overlooking the quiet street. The host quickly responded to any questions/issues we had once we were in the house. We did experience issues with booking the property, so please be sure to reach out to the host early to ensure your reservation.
