"Nice place, only an overnight stay. A slight walk from the main road if you're on foot, under 10 mins. No direct transport from Newton Abbot station but if you fancy a 30-minute walk it's not a bad route. On the tip end of River Teign and quite scenic with a nice outdoor garden. Guessing you can take dogs in as they have a dog wash on site :) Restaurant and bar has some good choices."

"Great location, but the hotel desperately needs updating. The staff were not very welcoming, they looked disinterested and not very helpful. Our room had an unpleasant smell when we walked in. The floorboards in the room above us constantly squeaked when people walked about which disturbed our sleep. The carpet throughout the hotel looked dirty with stains on it, which provided unpleasant and unwelcoming appearance. Garden and the plants were not maintained and looked very unkempt.
