Welcome to Pressure Drop! It is closer to the beach than many semi-oceanfront homes…only 75 steps to the private beach access! Our guests enjoy an open, bright, and cheerful great room and kitchen and various indoor and outdoor spaces to relax.
Multiple levels of decking showcase ocean views to the east and sunsets to the west. The house boasts a new 15x35 pool (heating is available) with a full-width splash and lounge pad, and a spacious pool deck that includes a new hot tub. The home includes dual tankless water heaters, individual temperature controls for three bedrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi with a mesh router system, and a spacious outdoor shower. Once you walk into the home, you'll discover it is well-decorated, well-cared for, and with pride of ownership throughout.

Top level: Kitchen with appliances, plenty of seating for everyone to sit around for a big family dinner. Living room with a large comfortable couch, where you can have a fantastic view of sunrises. Screened Porch where you can gather and enjoy meals outside. 2 King Bedrooms, each with an en-suite full bathroom.

Middle level: Walk-up entryway into the house. King Bedroom with a full bathroom attached. 1 full and 1 twin bed, with a shared bathroom between the pyramid and bunk bed set rooms. Queen bedroom with a full bathroom attached.

Bottom level: Sitting room with 65” TV, pull-out couch, high-top table, and wet bar with a full-size refrigerator/freezer. Queen Bedroom with a full bathroom. Outdoor shower. Access to the carport and pool area.

Conveniently located in Ocean Sands South, a community with large lots and comfortable spacing between houses. Looking to escape the crowds? Pressure Drop is on a quiet cul-de-sac without the through traffic, parking lots, and crowded beaches found in other communities. Less than a mile to the shopping, ABC store, and restaurants at Ocean Club Centre and Harris Teeter. Experience what the Northern Outer Banks has to offer!

All of our homes are equipped with wifi. However, due to the nature of our area, we cannot guarantee the internet will always be functioning, as the Outer Banks can experience outages from time to time. We strongly advise that guests bring their hotspots or other cell phone service devices to provide internet access, especially if they need it for work or school. Shoreline OBX and our homeowners are not responsible for any internet interruptions.

Family Reunion Beach Trip

The house met all of our needs for 6 couples and a total of 4 children from 6 -14 years old. We loved the pool, close beach access was perfect. We had a small electric issue with one light switch upon arrival but it was handled with care and courtesy by Ashley in a timely fashion. We had a great trip!

A wonderful family vacation destination

This house offered the perfect location…steps to the beautiful beaches, a brand new pool area with plenty if lounge chairs to accommodate our party of 12. The kitchen was well-stocked for our family dinners,as well. The only suggestion we have is to add some umbrellas by the pool area! There is no escape from the hot sun. Besides that, it was an awesome house and we would love to be back again!

Close to Beach

A very nice spacious home. This house is very well furnished and the furniture is all very comfortable, including the beds. We were very pleased with the number of bathrooms. The parking of cars was great, unlike some homes where there is not sufficient parking or maneuvering of vehicles. The screened in porch was used in the evenings & enjoyed. The kitchen had everything that we needed, as we cooked at home every night. I highly recommend this lovely home! Oh, short walking distance to the beach was a major plus!

Pool and grill fantastic. Hot tub missing neck pillows. Proximity to beach great. Area rug in top room filthy and torn.Sectional sofa slides all over the place. I assume it was previously on carpet.Splits in added rooms difficult to manage temperature.We were either freezing or sweatingWhile house was expanded to add bedrooms rest of house too small for 18 occupants..Only word for kitchen is chaos. It was like a scavenger hunt to find things. Missing basics, meat thermometer, ice cream scoop, etc.Seriously, not even salt and pepper? Silverware drawer a disaster. Freezer drawer in lower level difficult to open, ie rusted. I get the "natural" look (lack of landscaping) but if you are going to be dog friendly, weed wack an area. Picked out spiny things from dog's paws all week. Pool fantastic but weeds sticking out of rocks shows owner's lack of attention. Old beat up table at the pool. Mattresses throughout need replaced. If I knew house was going to be updated over the winter season, I would rent again, but if it remains as is....

Pressure Drop Review

The location is amazing and the near by beach is 10/10. The house is spacious and has a great layout for a multiple families to stay. The pool is a highlight- modern and big! The one area for improvement would be to upgrade mattresses but otherwise all good (:

Amazing Location

This house is just steps from the beach and has the most beautiful pool area!! The house is very spacious and was super clean. Checkin was super easy and we were able to get in early. When we had an issue with the deck, maintenance arrived quickly. We loved this house and would definitely stay again. Only complaint would be that the beds were not comfortable! 3 of the bedrooms had nice mattresses- the rest could use an update! Overall- we really enjoyed our stay :)

This property is a great fit for our family. All of the upgrades to the house were evident (new exterior and interior paint, new molding, new bedroom furniture, new front steps) are greatly appreciated. Please thank the owner for us. I do have a couple of comments: The living room furniture is in desperate need of an upgrade. The upholstered furniture (2 side chairs and sofa) are very dirty. I'm not sure that a steam cleaning will help. A replacement of these items with something that is not fabric would be ideal. These purchases could be relatively inexpensive for the owner and require less cleaning and upkeep. The same comments apply the area rug in the living room. Even with a steam cleaning I am not sure that the rug can be rehabilitated. It is a dog-friendly property and accidents do happen. I think over the years it is just impossible to maintain this particular rug. There is a distinct smell to it. My suggestion would be to remove the rug and not replace it. Overall we love the house. Again, our thanks to the owner for maintaining and upgrading its appearance and functionality. We look forward to visiting again.
