Fishing, jet skis, swimming, crabbing, wade fishing, etc. Best winter bird migration watching anywhere.

Large, bay-view, outdoor patio, two screened-in porches for entertaining and dining. Large country kitchen with fireplace, card room with fireplace, large living/dining bay front room with fireplace. Wet bar.

LOVED LOVED LOVED OUR STAY!!

Beautiful beach home! Had plenty of room for my family Host was awesome. Even let us put a water slide out for the kids.. Everyone had a great time just relaxing and soaking in the sun. We especially enjoyed being in the living room area. We look forward to booking with yall again. LOVE YOUR HOME!

House smelled like feces and urine. We later found out why when we saw a racoon trying to pry himself through the wall . We heard it crawling throughout the inner walls of the house. Also, the patio , and lights to the bar area did not work. We contacted the owners on day one and never heard back. DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY

The house is a great house just had its problems. Do think its in a great location and would use again if these problems were fixed. Never recieved a code to the house. A worker from the property company happened to be there and let us in, bc the front door was actually unlocked. Had called the company twice. The house was missing power in areas due to the flooding from the hurrican (had emailed about if everything in the house was good pryor to trip). Mold in the house, in the kitchen. Great Weekend!!

House was perfect size and location for our family. We were bummed that half the pier had been recently damaged by hurricane, and that some of the electrical did not work in the home, but that did not stop the group from saying they want to make this spot a yearly tradition going forward! We will be back!!

Danger

This house is a nightmare. When we arrived, the utility room and kitchen/livingroom area smelled like something was dead! We had to go to the store to get air fresheners to try and get the smell out. ( side note-the smell was so bad they didn’t work) one of the bedrooms you couldn’t even sleep in because the ac didn’t cool at all. By the second day we were noticing fleas. We notified the management office and told them about the fleas and smell. They sent an exterminator out. ( * we had to leave house for a few hours) THEY NEVER ADDRESSED THE TERRIBLE SMELL! Exterminator said we should be good to go and the fleas should be taken care of. The next day we were still seeing fleas and they would cover your feet while standing in the bathroom upstairs. Also, the lights in the bar and outside sunroom did not work. They said they would try to get someone out to fix them. No one ever showed. The day we left I notified the management again about the fleas and smell and asked for some kind of compensation for the terrible inconveniences we had to deal with. It’s been 3 days now and few more messages sent, still no response. If you are looking to enjoy your stay in Rockport BE AWARE OF THIS HOUSE!! We will NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.

Guys fishing trip.

Weather was amazing. Fished the whole time we were there. Caught a good amount of fish as well. House was spacious and comfortable for everyone. Would love to come back again.

Misleading

Pictures need to be updated. Doesn’t match at all. Contacted property twice. Fleas all over house, mouse in kitchen cabinets. Dolphin dead by pier flies and smelt bad couldn’t use outdoor area or pier. Will not stay again.

Coastal bend property management

Lights didn’t work in key areas. Contacted property management (Coastal bend) and lights were not addressed by maintenance nor Coastal bend. Animal feces all over back upstairs steps outside. Dryer vent filter hadn’t been cleaned in some time. Photos of property were a bit misleading. Could be ultra cute as property has good bones but not all areas can be accessed due to poor maintenance and property management. Really a disappointment.

Amazing stay

This was an amazing place to stay. Loved that we could fish off the dock. Was such a beautiful house. The light switches were a little confusing but we couldn’t have been happier with this beautiful home. Thank you for letting us enjoy it.

Charming Cottage by the Water

I had no expectations coming to this house but was pleasantly surprised. Very spacious and comfortable, everything was perfect when we arrived. Fishing off the pier is was fantastic. They weren’t biting as much as we wanted but that’s secondary to spending time with friends. Only issue we had was when the power went out. Tried to get a hold of someone unfortunately unsuccessfully. Luckily the outage only lasted a short while.

Easter weekend 2023

The property was good. Older home and could use some modernization like the bathrooms, the lighting around the house is hard to find out which switch is which and the back pation lights did not work or we never found the switches. I believe that some remodeling to address some of the many steps or level changes in order to accomodate the older traveler. Over all I believe it was a great stay but it needs to be somehow made more comfortable. There are no comfortable seating other that the wicker furniture. A regular sofa and maybe a couple of comfortable chairs would be nice. Thank you for the accommodations. Needs more lighting in the back patio and the carport area.

Great location and house lay out

We surely enjoyed our stay, the lay out of the house is great, location perfect. We recommend that the landlord assures all works at the house, we arrived and the internet never worked, my college daughter was unable to do some work, the outside lights did not worked so was difficult to cook outside in the dark. Still we had a great time and were able to enjoy our stay despite the struggles with the internet and maintenance issues at the house.

Great seaside getaway spot

The home is very tied with the owners of the home. It is set in a beautiful shoreline area, great for fishing. Plenty of room and a well supplied kitchen with plates, pots, and pans. The place needs a few maintenance fixes. The pier is in poor shape. There are obvious electrical issues with some of them being outside. Finally the home has countless photos hung on the walls of various rooms. Some are very faded and come off a bit creepy. Knowing that this is someone’s home, you expect pics, but this is a bit over the top. Overall a very enjoyable stay, creating a wonderful memory.

A fun weekend with friends.

We had a wonderful, fun and hassle free weekend staying at the Allen House for 2 nights. The place was clean, equipped with all the needed supplies for our stay from the bathroom to the kitchen needs. Lots of towels, even body wash were included, and trash bags provided! Our group loved to cook and it was just a home away from home. The private pier provided us with ample fishing fun, we got perch, croakers red fish, sheepshead,!! We were able to take an early morning walk, photos in the marina and just enjoyed the 2 days. Thank you to Lauren and her group for allowing us to extend our check out time for another two hours. This place is highly ,highly recommended!

Great location but unfortunately house needed maintenance

Older home right on water. Unfortunately the home needed some maintenance. Upon arrival we quickly found roaches crawling all over kitchen counter tops. Later we noticed 2 of the bathroom doors would not close all the way or lock. Assuming due to shifting of home. The pier pictured is about half the length as appears to be as advertised. My guess the other half was damaged to hurricane which occured a few years ago. Once sun went down the temperatures dropped and we soon noticed the heat in downstairs did not work at all. After going to bed we were awoken to what sounded like a racoon running back and forth all night in the attic. While laying in bed my daughter had a roach crawl across her arm. We notified owners the next morning who attempted to get us help but the exterminator and AC repairman could not arrive until 2 days later. Exterminator was not able to assist with people in home and did not have proper chemicals at time of arrival. AC repairman said unit was beyond repair. Stated a new unit was needed and had to be ordered. Owner was great responding first day but never heard from them again even after asking for permission to use fireplace to keep warm. We ended up purchasing a portable heater for our elderly parents who could not walk stairs to upper floor where there was heat. I think it was an unfortunate number of events at one time. We made the best of our vacation. Owners did compensate for 1 night stay. Had we not had all the issues I would probably give great reviews primarily to size of home and the gorgeous views. Unfortunately due to the circumstances and until repairs and maintenance are done the property is not adequate for rental. I do hope they can do the necessary repairs. It is definitely a place I would try again under different circumstances.

Great large family getaway!

The property is easy to find and in a great location for fishing and shopping. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for 10 adults and 2 teens. The back patio facing the bay was wonderful and where we spent most of our time. This is an older house with a weathered pier, but is priced well for the location and size. The pier is probably not appropriate for smaller children as one board was missing and the handrailing is only on one side, but we still managed to get lots of use out of it. The photos and history of the house added a special touch to our trip. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. Plenty of towels were available. I would gladly stay here again in the future.

Nice pierfront property with lots of room!

We had a blast! The kids enjoyed fishing on the pier, the nice breeze in the covered back porch was a delight. Kitchen was ample and plenty of beds and bathrooms to acommodate everyone. The bedroom adjacent to the game room was a bit warm, so a windowbunit would be better there, but the rest of the house was easy to cool down otherwise. Would definately stay there again!

Super Nice Home Right on the Ocean

The home is very nice and is located right on the ocean. The kids and grandkids loved being right on the water. The home is conveniently located to see Rockport and enjoy shopping.
