"Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. Kitchen is on lowest floor. Entry and dining and parlor are on street level, and there is no bathroom on that floor. So it’s a trek from kitchen to loo. The top floor...

"Comfortable stay the night before the Bala swim. Service at evening meal was excellent. Breakfast service Terrible as only 1 member of staff at start of breakfast. Long wait until more staff arrived. Most of us needed feeding before the swim & a few left even though it was included. "

"The hosts were anonymous and the tv unusable. The booklet re tv was totally incomprehensible. Clear instructions on how to use the two controllers and tune the tv would have been helpful. The room was fine and the help yourself breakfast exceeded my expectations. "

Comfortable room with lots of electricity plug in points for charging phones, computers etc which is a pleasing change. Lovely large shower with powerful rain hail. Room was immaculately clean Excellent all around, definatly recommend and will use again "

"Our stay was fabulous. The food is 12/10 We had our dog with us so we had to eat in the bar but it has a roaring fire and a lovely atmosphere and I’d argue this was the best seat in the house. Our room was in a little outbuilding and it was just perfect. Super quiet of a night too. The servers are all very young and the best and most smiley service I’ve had in a long time "
