"We went for a weekend with our cavapoo. TBH had little treat box, dog towel and little sleeping mat. We brought many of our own things but nice to make him feel welcomed. We had a great stay. The staff were incredibly helpful..walking routes, getting us a table for dinner. We had lovely drinks every evening at the bar with a very large fire and our dog with us. The food was very good..breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed eating at other establishments in Midhurst too. We didn’t use the Spa but it looked nice. Would definitely come back. "

"We had a gorgeous stay at Bridge Cottage, such a welcome pitstop if you're walking the South Downs Way or visiting the local area. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable, Miranda is a wonderful host and the location is perfect to enjoy some of the local pubs. We'd highly recommend and will be back! "

"Helpful frendly ,welcoming staff.Large room(althogh a little dark) Sadly, there appeared to be no hot water available in our bathroom on our first morning,(despite running the hot water tap for about 10 minutes),so we were unable to take advantage of the wonderful looking freestanding roll top bath. On our sacond morning, this had been resolved ,and there was plenty of hot water to be had. The downstairs dining/drinking areas offer a quirky blend of old and new features alike,which adds to the character of The Swan inn The Food/restaurant menu,(although slightly limited, in our opinion )turned out to be of good quality,and represented excellent value for money,and the portion sizes are as stated are indeed"large plates"!! My wife and I were impressed by the free(on the house )addition of a side of Broccoli in cheese sauce ,and the tot of Limoncello,at the end of our meal.A welcome and unexpected personal touch,for which we were grateful. Breakfast on both mornings was good ,with an excellent choice of hot cooked food. Overall ,a pleasnt stay ,which made our time down in the Midhurst/Chichester area more bearable,since our trip was funeral based. In conclusion, if you are looking ,for somewhere central to stay,with good honest hospitality, food, drink, and character, then The Swan inn and Hotel in Midhurst is to be recommended "

"We had a lovely stay in Nicky and Peter’s place. We had everything we needed there. The tennis court surrounded by the woods was beautiful. We highly recommend this place."

"Perfect location in a spacious flat in town, close to all amenities. Whilst it has off street parking, it is not very easy to manoeuvre around the gate. Fortunately there was no car parked beside me, which gave some wiggle room."

"On arrival I found the key safe situated very low on the wall & difficult to operate. A kind passer by assisted ne. Inside it was warm, cozy & exceptionally clean. Large fluffy towels were provided and the beds extremely comfortable with plenty of hot water. However,, I found the freezer desperately needed defrosting. The dishwasher was filthy. The oven so dirty it set the fire alarms off. The washing machine door would not open & was subsequently found to be broken. The only usable item was a small standard Microwave So we lived on Microwave meals or toast for our 2 week stay.. The office did offer to send someone to clean the items but as I believed it needed a good day to thoroughly clean them, I declined. We didn't go out apart from shopping but we're warm and comfy staying snug indoors watching the birds flitting between tje branchs & watching snooker on TV"

"House was very warm and cosy and we had a comfortable stay and would recommend it. Just a couple of points to bring to your attention for the benefit of others. The bed in the spare single room we assume had a broken base so there was a piece of MDF under the mattress which we caught our leg on a couple of times. The back door was hard to lock amd unlock. Some of the pots and pans were damaged or not thorughly cleaned by the previous occupants perhaps and under the beds could do with a hoover and tidy as we found out when trying to hide Xmas presents! All minor points so hope this is helpful. All in all a lovely place."

"Jon and Tanya were lovely hosts recommending their favourite walking trails in the area. The accomodation had wonderful charm and included everything that we needed for our stay. It was lovely to have parking included too. We highly recommend this stay in this beautiful part of England."
