This amazing home has spectacular ocean views including Battery Point Lighthouse from three different levels. The very top level is a cupola with a 360 degree panoramic view. The hot tub has great views as well. Access to the ocean is just a short walk down the road. Many great restaurants and other attractions are within five minutes drive.

What an amazing location. We visited the fish market & Seaquake Brewery. The house has beautiful views and everything to enjoy your stay. We stayed 5 nights and it was wonderful.

Great house on the beach

We enjoyed the ocean views and easy access to the beach and tidepools. The house has plenty of room and is great for kids. Access to the beach is less than a block down the sidewalk.

Amazing location, large space!

We stayed here 4th of July and (except for the fog) had an amazing view of the lighthouse and fireworks. Amazing views from all over the house, easy walk to the water, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful space and plenty of room!

Beautiful Spot, Beautiful View

Great location for a family get together. The views are amazing and the close proximity to the beach is perfect. Game room is a great addition for the teenagers (and want to be teenagers) in our group. Exactly what we needed for our weekend of remembrance!

Best VRBO ever!

Everything about this property is top notch-we all agreed it was the best we've ever stayed in. Location is amazing and the house itself is spectacular. We met up with 2 other families who had rented their own houses and ours was perfect for hosting the dinners. There are so many different places for groups to congregate. You will not regret staying here-100% worth the price!

Lovely stay

This is a really special property. It’s even better than the pictures! The views are magical and it was perfect for our family to all stay comfortably. The hot tub, kids toys and game room are all fantastic. Not to mention the lighthouse lookout. We’d love to visit again! Thank you!

Family had a great time. Great view. Awesome location for what we had planned to do. Officer was nice and helpful. The raccoon gentleman was nice to talk to. Gave us good places to visit. Kids loved the hot tub and toys. They also loved the stairs..

FANTASTIC PROPERTY!

Best views

The location and views are amazing, the cleanliness not so great in the the two downstairs bedrooms. Some old carpet was a bummer to see...The kitchen was leaking when we got there and some not pleasant smells. The game room is awesome. But the views and wlakm tot he lighthouse are amazing.

Beach house stay

Photos were very misleading. The house is very dated. There is no direct access to the beach. The cupola provides beautiful views of the ocean. The kitchen was fully stocked.

House of light next to Light House

Very nice home and location. You could spend a whole weekend just by foot walking to the nearby beaches, light house, brewery, pier, tide pools, post office, etc. we only had to go into town once to the supermarket that was less than 5 mins away. This home has so many extra amenities like the outdoor hot tube with a view of the lighthouse and the sea. This home definitely had a welcoming vibe with great quality of all the important details plus you can feel the care and appreciation the owners have for their enjoyable place. I would recommend this stay for either family with children or even better for adults seeking a peaceful, relaxing, quiet, and comfortable place to use as their headquarters for travel around the region, or even just to stay out here for a peaceful weekend. NOT a place for loud parties and big crowds so look elsewhere if that is what you need.

Best place we have stayed

We LOOOOOVED this house. We could have stayed there forever. The hosts were wonderful. The city was so great. We loved that we could walk over to the big light house and the tide pools. It was so heavenly. The only downside is the neighbors. Which I understand they can't control, and i understand the neighbors not loving living next to a vrbo. But with 6 kids and mine and my husbands personality we were constantly worried about anything we did outside that would get us in trouble. It is also a bummer that the house doesn't have "real" beach access. But it is a 2 minute walk to where you can get down to the beach and then one your kids are on the beach you can watch them from the house. Thank you for having your property available to rent and at a good price.

Christmas by the sea

My family (my husband and me plus four 20-something children) spent the week of Christmas here. Best. Vacation. Ever. This house was perfect for the 6 of us. Plenty of room to be together or not. Well equipped kitchen that allowed us to cook for ourselves (I easily managed a rib roast and homemade pies for Christmas dinner here because there were roasting pans, pie plates, and even a pastry blender already there!) The sight and sound of the ocean is healing and it is everywhere. Pictures don’t do this justice. I was worried when a storm blew in that we wouldn’t feel safe but this old house didn’t budge in the wind. We enjoyed playing games, hot-tubbing between rain drops, visiting various shops in town, exploring tide pools, and hiking in the redwoods forest. If you are looking for a place to unfrazzle, this is it.

Perfect location in a beautiful home

The check in was easy and communication with the owner was helpful and efficient. The home is beautiful and located close to the beach, lighthouse, pier, harbor, park, and a great restaurant. All of it is easy access. The description is spot on. The views from the house are relaxing and gorgeous. The home could have used a little more cleaning as there were crumbs on a table, little kid handprints on one of the windows with a view and the recliners in the living room were all sticky. Easy to wash off though. The furniture in the house was very comfortable including the beds. The hot tub was clean and enjoyable, except the neighbors sensor light that comes on at night when you get in. They have all the amenities you would need. The game room was super fun as well even with us being in our upper 50s. We had a little ant problem in the upstairs bedroom but it was no problem to take care of. They just wanted in from the storm. Over all this place is a great place to stay for a family or a couple. We plan on coming back here !!

Cozy Comfortable Coastal Bliss

Our two families have been coming to Crescent City or Brookings for 15 years every spring and fall. Our kids have grown up with this tradition. We surf, tidepool, cook, and play games together. We have stayed in 15-20 short-term rentals over the years. This one might be our favorite based on our needs and budget. Here's why: - This home is cozy, thoughtful, and welcoming. Other rentals may be more recently renovated inside, but they are sterile, empty, professional rental houses. This one feels like home, which we prefer. - The beds, chairs, and couches are really comfortable. There are plenty of nooks and rooms to spread out for puzzles, movies, napping, reading, etc. Everyone can do what they want. - The hot tub and game room in the garage are awesome. Vintage full size video games and a nice table tennis set-up were big hits. - Kitchen cookware, the laundry unit, and plenty of trash cans out back are all small things that add up to making a very easy vacation possible. - The VIEWS from the living room, lookout room, and primary bedroom are the best of any house we've rented. Just wow. - The location is perfect for accessing the lighthouse, the pier, Pebble Beach Drive, etc. On top of all that, Dave is very nice and easy to reach by phone. And we had pleasant conversations with the neighbors, who are friends with Dave. Good vibes all around.

Ocean and Redwoods experience to remember!

The location is spectacular with the ocean just outside and Redwood Parks a short drive away. The host's instructions and information were perfect and clear. Everything we needed was thoughtfully furnished, nothing missing. We were very comfortable and have great memories of time with the kids and grandkids. If you stay here, you will appreciate our delight with a roaring storm the night we arrived and ocean and redwoods experience we will remember!
