Clean and comfortable rooms. They have a binder with information on local restaurants, attractions, and Hiking trails that was super useful! Host was excellent and very responsive. Highly recommend staying here. "

"We had a wonderful stay. A few minor suggestions to improve the experience would be to have a box or two of tissues in the unit. Additionally, I think the hallway bathroom sink drain needs a deep cleaning. Drain flys were hanging all around it for the weekend."

"Unit was clean, but some of the dishes had to be rewashed. The front screen door spring needed repaired and kept coming off and we couldn't lock the rear sliding door. I reached out and informed VRBO of needed repairs. Lastly unit has no AC. Last night was rough due to heat. Other than that, it was a nice place, and I would rent it again. "

"I stayed with my husband, our three children (ages 7, 11 and 13) and my parents in law (in their 70s) for 4 nights. Home was comfortable and well-equipped and communication with the property manager was excellent. Very close to Sleeping Bear Dunes and charming Glen Arbor (check out the Cottage Book Shop!). The lower level bedrooms felt damp and chilly upon arrival but we ran the dehumidifier in the queen bedroom closet during the day and found that effective. "

"My sisters and I stayed during a beautiful week in September. The house was perfect, other than some ants, but we’ve come to expect them in the middle of the woods, so no big deal. My family was the original builders and owners of this house, so it was just as we remembered it, along with some amazing new renovations. The Homestead, and more specifically, this house, holds a special place in our hearts! Thank you for allowing us to stay and relive some childhood memories. It was just as magical as we remembered. "
