The Bunkhouse @Dragonfly Ranch is made to make you feel like home away from home

  • We have opened up the Bunkhouse next to out Ranch house for guests that want a comfortable and relaxing get away from the city life or an exciting adventure out of their norm. We are family owned and operated Horse Ranch. We're still building as we go and improving every day to become a place where we can entertain, educate and rehabilitate folks from all over. We have big plans for our little slice of heaven and while you are here you can get involved with our day to day living or watch from the porch or in the hot tub. Our welcoming committee is a very friendly group of dogs that bark to let us know you are here and meet you at your door for petting and a sweet hello. The horses are everywhere and just as curious and loving as the dogs here...just a tad bigger. You can stay to yourself and explore the Ranch or mix n mingle with us as we come n go during the day. The Bunkhouse is comfy and has several personal touches to make it magical for young or older folks. You get to experience what it's like to live on a Ranch/ Horse Farm in the hills of KY while staying a stones throw from Mammoth cave national park. And we have a hot tub with a beautiful view to boot!
    Special Buckaroo camp in July 24-28th for kids 9-15 yrs old accompanied by an adult. multiple siblings can be accompanied by one adult. 10 spaces available $500.00 per child, adult free . peaceful rural ranch

The place is on a lovely horse farm and has a few friendly dogs too! The hosts are very nice and we had a great time at the property, and exploring the local Amish infused area. It is a great place with in driving distance to Mammoth caves, and other area attractions. If we are ever back in the area, we would stay again for sure!

Beautiful horse farm. Kids were in heaven

Host Tonya was so welcoming and generous with sharing her property and 14 horses. Our 3 kids spent most of the time in the horse pasture with the very friendly 3 small farm dogs and very friendly horses. The house is very clean, large and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a rural family vacation. Lots of caves and outdoor fun nearby too!

Great family stay at Dragon Fly Ranch

Its a legit working horse farm on 90 acres. We have 4 kids, ages 7 to 12. They loved it. Tonya, the host, is super helpful and friendly. Walk the grounds, pet the horses, explore the pastures, check out the "cave". A bit of a drive to Mammoth Caves, but we were looking for a place that was a little more secluded. Would definitely recommend for a great experience!

Spectacular Ranch in a Perfect Location

Staying at the Dragonfly Ranch was such an incredible experience! The property is absolutely beautiful, the welcoming team of dogs were so sweet, the bunkhouse was just as was described in the listing, was extremely clean, and more spacious than we hoped. On top of that, the trail rides that we were able to coordinate with Tonys gave us a view of the National Park that we never would have known about. Plus, the star gazing was spectacular. In short, my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend this ranch to anyone who wants to spend time exploring this area!

Beautiful and breathtaking!

6 of us visited from Pittsburgh and Erie, PA for a bachelorette get-a-way to do 4 cave tours and relax. Tonya was AMAZING and opened up their way of life to us! We were able to mingle with all the pups and horses and had great views as we explored the property. The host tub was clean and relaxing after a long day of walking miles of the nearby caves! We had plenty of room and more in the bunkhouse for games, cooking, and enjoying good laughs. Highly recommend Tonya and her family's hospitality for making our stay amazing. Thank you!!!

Plenty of Space, near Mammoth Caves

Overall, this property was clean; check in and out process was easy. There was plenty of space for everyone. Hot tub was clean and everything was well taken care of. I may not have read the description clearly, but only the master bedroom is on the main floor. The bedroom with 2 twin beds was in a basement room with no windows, if that matters to anyone.

Perfect quiet getaway

We had a short but peaceful stay. The house itself is very spacious with plenty of sleeping areas. Walking in you immediately feel at home. My kids (5 of them) were in heaven with the horses and the pups. All of the animals were super friendly and lovable. If you forgot something don’t worry the house will probably have it! Many kid games and toys. The view of the stars at night are breathtaking. Definitely recommend sitting in the hot tub when it’s really dark and look at the sky.

Place is exactly as described. Scenery is amazing and peaceful. You have to go outside at night and look up to the sky and experience the stars. Horses and dogs are so friendly. We enjoyed walking the pasture with the horses. Tonya was so very helpful and accommodating. Recommendations I have for if you stay are make sure to bring boots just in case it rains, and house heat is from wood burner. If you don't know how to use that ask Tonya and she will show you exactly what to do. We will definitely be coming back.

Tonya greeted us & is very friendly & helpful. The place has everything you need for a great family stay. The upstairs was stocked with various snacks & even some staples such as pancake mix. Main floor has a nice queen bed & a handicapped shower. The walkout basement has 2 queen beds, 1 bunk bed & 2 twin beds plus a full bath. The frig on lower lever had various snacks for the kids, tons of movies, a gaming system with lots of games. The 4 boys had fun at nite with all of these. We went out to walk among the horses & they all came up to be petted. There were also 2 bonus puppies who were adorable. Their mamas were very sweet. Beautiful country here!

Family stay on the ranch.

My kids and I stayed for 2 nights at dragonfly ranch. Their ages range from 17-24. We knew the house would be older and quaint. We had a great stay. Tonya was responsive to any questions I had. Sadie was very nice. We enjoyed hanging out on porch at night, listening to music, there were always 2 in the hot tub. It was so relaxing to walk the pasture with the horses all round. And we all fell in love with the 4 dogs on the ranch. We ordered carry out at Blue Holler Cafe one morning for breakfast. It was great, and great price., we spent one day at mammoth cave . 45 minutes to visitor center. We loved our stay, and the kids are requesting to go there again for a weekend. It was such great family time I’m so thankful for. We happened to be outside during the northern lights, it was beautiful! my only suggestion would be, which would be an easy fix, is to double check cleanliness of dishes in cabinets/the kitchen, the fridge, the porch, porch table and chairs.
