"My husband and i stayed at this property off season in March 2026 with our 2 small dogs. First off let me just say that this is the nicest Hampton Inn we've ever stayed at. It's right on the ocean, and the rooms are HUGE and very nicely decorated. We enjoyed hearing the waves from our balcony, and Adam at the front desk was wonderful. We will definitely come back in the future. "

"My girlfriends and I had a wonderful stay. The property was as described and the property managers were fast to respond to messages. Even the amenities provided were more than normally provided by other places I have stayed. We even experienced a power outage (transformer fire nearby), and the owners were very proactive with communicating updates. I highly recommend."

"It's outdated, the water pressure is weird, and none of the tub drain clogs worked. But the area was nice, it was clean, and the people were friendly. You get what you. Pay for on this one. "

"I cannot say enough about the location and the overall amenities that the home has to offer. We saw wild horses nearly every day and the beach could be seen from the sprawling decks. The kitchen was fairly well appointed with cooking necessities, etc. as well. However, there were a few things that could easily have been improved, and the property would be five star all day long. The items, while minor, just added up. There were not any starter rolls of paper supplies, for example, when we arrived. This caused us to unpack quickly following an eleven hour drive to get there. Additionally, the clean sheets were laying on each bed, and we needed to make each one upon arrival as well as unload the dishwasher, which was full of dishes. The fireplace did not work properly. The property owner was responsive and maintenance changed the propane tank and ordered a regulator, but it was not operational during our week. The pool was cleaned the day after we arrived. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the theater room after flying kites on the beach and enjoying all of the activities around. The vacation gave us the true tranquility we were looking for bringing family and friends together. Definitely a five star if some of these minor things were resolved. Definitely recommend overall."

"So the house was great, the weather, not so much. The coldest weather in VA in decades. So we watched the ocean from the beautiful living area. Host was responsive to our questions. I would book it again."

"Winter getaway for me and my wife. Very quiet this time of year. We saw ponies every day and good birdwatching. The home was as advertised, and we needed to run the heater every day, which worked very well. The hot tub was very nice, but we didn’t use the pool. We recommend the short drive up to False Cape State Park for good hiking and birding. "
