"The rooms themselves were great and the breakfast was delicious. However, there is a shared kitchen which is available to prepare any other meals…it is not in good condition at all and needs some serious TLC if the space is to be offered for guest use. For example the oven is FILTHY, the sink is perpetually full of used, dirty dishes and cutlery/crockery/glasses/cookware all need to be upgraded/replaced. I think the shared space is a great idea, but it has to be drastically improved to reflect...

"What an INCREDIBLE place!!!! I can highly recommend Hartford House from the beautiful rooms, on point service and the gorgeous landscaping! We spent 3 nights here celebrating our 5 year anniversary and had blissful weekend! They have a very talented chef and we did their 6 course tasting menu two nights, one with wine pairing and they have a very knowledgeable Sommelier- Kathryn! Then third night did the 4 course tasting menu. The food is SO DELICIOUS!! I can’t more recommend this...

Home made delicious biscuits every night, setting up the fire and making sure the chalet is warm for your return. The carpets were were shabby as was the 2 seater couch. The bed linen was clean! I was given a family unit. The space was awkward to move around due to the sleeper couch and 2 seater couch."
