Make some amazing memories at Wits End Cottage. This is an awesome and friendly lake front setting. Our charming cottage features a comfortable bedroom with a unique bunk bed setup, offering two double beds for a peaceful night's sleep. ( Bedding is laid out on bunks, guests make their oun beds) The rustic yet modern interior provides a warm ambiance, perfect for a family, a romantic getaway, a honeymoon or for unwinding after a day of exploration of the area. The cottage is cleaned to a high normal standard but we are not a steril or hospital setting. It is located in a nature setting with birds, animals and creatures passing by. We expect that they be allowed safe passage. Please see the attached photos and details of amenities. There is free parking at the door. ( no EV plugs on site) a toaster, coffee maker and smoke detector and plenty of towels . Guests can unplug the security camera from inside. One of the highlights of your stay at “Wits End Cottage” will be the direct lake access. Step off the lower deck into the water for a refreshing swim or take a kayak (subject to availability) and explore the tranquil waters of Darling Lake at your leisure. We cannot guarantee NO MOSQUITOS but if you find one, dead or alive you get a gold star. We aim not for perfection, we aim to be welcoming.

We strive to provide clean accommodations, but we are not hospital sterile. We are lake front setting surrounded by nature with creatures, water, trees and some wildlife. Parking at the door; shower and flushing water is drawn from the lake, cooking and drinking water is delivered. Water shoes are suggested, as rocks under water can be slippery.
No smoking/vaping or non prescribed drugs. You are likely to encounter nature in a variety of forms, all creatures great and small are welcomed to pass by undisturbed. Please note, there are extra sheets if you want to change bedding. Be aware we do not provide plug ins for electric vehicles, there are charging stations in town.
