this property is under renovation which was not mentioned. there was a desk and a bed (unclean and dusty underneath). there was no cupboard and no where to hang any clothes. there were not coat hangers. there was no remote control for the tv. the pool was nice. the location is convenient.

Hotel was fine for a 2 night business trip, basically most hotels were booked out due to the public holiday and military operations going on while I was there. This made all prices shoot up, and limited choice. I’d stay there again with no problems.

The area is so clean and quiet, but only about 7 mins walk to the shopping area on Smith Street. The whole hotel has been newly renovated and the small pool is a big gift for the hot weather there. The King bedroom is spacious and clean, equipped with microwave and fridge. The staff service is so friendly. They responded to our request promptly. We enjoy staying there and recommend it people want to stay close to Darwin CBD.

The most unique fact is l did not know the place was actually the old Poinciana hotel with a slight make over, big price increase and hard to believe genuine reviews. They are large rooms without floor coverings and crap showers without even wardrobes.
