Disappointed

It wasn't the best choice in hotels by any means. The room next to us had a couple fighting every night around 2 a.m. the bathroom door wouldn't even shut like it was the wrong door. The TV was cracked the refrigerator was rusty truly not what I expected to be charged that much money for.

Clean old place needs renovation

Great customer service. Was a very clean old hotel yes, but was all clean, only the mattress was like they need new ones, clean, but not comfortable. Also my husban is 6 2 and the bathroom was very small haha.

My reservation was canceled by the hotel. I was never notified. I drove from Rhode Island to Florida 24 hours straight to no hotel room !!! Horrible management. Horrible employee. Rude.

Surprise by Beach street...

Check in was easy and quick. Front desk woman friendly. Very accommodating. We had traveled for a few hours before getting to site and staff offered some bottled water because I mentioned that I was thirsty to my husband. Room is outdated but clean. Bed was comfortable and clean. Was very happy that it was truly a non smoking room because of our allergies. No issues!! Very happy for last minute and location was great!!

The motel is a family-owned business, and fairly friendly and accomodating, The property was probably built in the 1950, so when it was new, it probably had that small beach motel charm. Unfortunately, that charm is long gone. The rooms and building itself are extremely run-down. Some of the walls have holes in them from water damage, the bath room has water damage on the floor and rot growing. The doors don't close or lock properly, and the entire room looks like it is still using curtains, blankets, carpet, and furniture from the early 1970s. I have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years, and this one has to rate in the bottom three of all of them.

Quite the disappointment

Actually disappointed. The lady at the desk was quite pleasant, but was disappointed in the room. The toilet bowl ran water all night, the sheets on both beds appeared dirty. So much so that I went to the local Walmart and bought a set of sheets to sleep on. There was a hole that was poorly patched in the closet. You would think a small mom and pop type hotel would take more care in giving their customers a great experience. It's not a very big place but it seems like it is not well taken care of.

RUN!!!!!!

Checked in and checked right back out. The place is in a horrible part of town. Homeless hanging in the parking lot. The room had mold in the picture frames pubic hair on toilet seat. Was scared to sit on the couch or bed didn't know what I might catch. Lost my money but already I have my health.

The sheets looked dirty so i had brought some that we just laid on top of our own sheets then bafged them up to wash them seperate just in case. . The wall in bathroom of room 30 should be repairs, ( holes in walls) and the bathroom floor needs to be cleaed. Just over all cleaning needed before the next comfort for someone else. After all it is Relax INn. Lollol

Surprisingly clean, smelled fresh. My request of a nonsmoking room was met. Friendly staff. Perfect inexpensive place to just sleep during the Daytona 500 whilenother motel/hotels tripled their price. Would stay here again

Great for smokers

I'm not a smoker, but this is a smoker friendly hotel. Small but clean. Staff was very nice. Not a bad place to stay if you aren't looking for high class and don't want to spend a lot of money.

Worst hotel i have ever stayed at. We paid 130.00 for this room due to the daytona 500 being in town. It was worth 29.99 or less. View from my door was of a pile of old matresses.

Would not stay here again

There was no place in the website for smoking or non smoking. We are non smokers and got a smoking room that our clothes smelt like it the next. Also we out for awhile and locked the door behind us and came back to our room and I pushed it open and it was opened. What a unexpected surprise and not sure if the door was locked or someone came in.

Great Location for Nascar

We came for the Nascar race and stayed only one night (thank goodness) I'll give you the positives first. The staff is very friendly and made a great effort to give us an early check in. The Motel is located very close to the race track which is why we chose it (about 3 miles) While the room is very small it has the potential to be very cute. Stucco walls and ceiling. Glass blocks in the shower... You get a small gift bag with water, soda and chocolate which was a nice touch and you get an animal towel like you would on a cruse.The Motel itself has huge potential, but unfortunately is not taken care of at all. The carpets are not clean and there was dirt piles in the corners. There was a big hairball next to the fridge (SO gross) The walls were dirty, broken fixtures in the bath, Bed cover not so clean. etc. There is a lot that could be done to make it much nicer that would not be terribly expensive. Small things such as paint, making sure the carpets are vacuumed THOUROUGHLY, replacing/removing broken fixtures, ensuring the bedcovers are CLEAN, etc.... Not a whole remodel, but things that would make the rooms more comfortable.

Comfy old Florida style hotel

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was small, but for an older hotel, it was all we needed. When we asked for an extra pillow, it was brought to our room within 5 minutes. The location is not great, but was located between the race track and the beach, the two places we wanted to be. Thank you so much for a great two night stay!

Worth the stay

The first room we got was OK but tv didn't work but they changed us over to a different room which was awesome!!! Good peoples
