"Excellent location with a unique and beautiful building at sea front and staffed with helpful and friendly employees from reception to housekeeping. Mr. Cesar at the breakfast dining stands out as a very helpful and welcoming professional person."

"Can't fault the Maldron hotel in Brighton The room was spotless The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was extremely good value for money"

"Nice room with fantastic view of the West Pier and a large comfortable bed. Lovely staff at Reception, bar and at breakfast - very friendly and helpful. Good cooked breakfast and pastries. Would stay again."

"Very good"

"All good"

"Lovely hotel at the marina. It is a bit out of the way from the centre of Brighton but has shops and restaurants around the hotel. There is also a bus service outside the door. The bar has a lovely view over the marina. A very pleasant stay."

"The sea view was absolutely lovely, the bed was comfortable and the hotel itself has some really nice features. However, there are areas of the hotel that are looking quite tired and in need of some attention. Our room, for example, had a large section of plaster missing from the wall above the window. When you’re paying good money for a hotel stay, you expect the room to be maintained to a decent standard, and this really let it down. I also think the spa charges need to be made much clearer....

"Friendly professional staff great location on the beach …"

"My room was not one of the refurbished rooms. It was also a little dusty and the bathroon was showing signs of a redo needed. It was the weekend of the storms and the main heating was not on yet. A temporary radiator was in the room - but even at full power it had little impact of warming the room up. The room was down the end of a very dark corridor, with no windows - and only what looked like emergency lighting. I did let reception know and the lights were back on the following morning. ...

"Brilliant location, room a little basic but more than adequate. Could not get a better location. Nice staff member on reception on arrival. Did I mention, great location........."

"Very clean room, excellent security and communication"

"Great hotel with excellent facilities"

"Booked for 3 nights as we wanted something cheap and basic. Room was clean and functional and perfectly adequate. Unfortunately the double beds were very small - a tight squeeze for two, especially if you're larger build - and the mattresses felt cheap and uncomfortable. We arrived late so stayed the first night, but checked out the next morning and found somewhere else around the corner. Shame, as the room itself was clean, but the beds made it uncomfortable."

"The hotel is quite frankly filthy . It doesnt look anything like the photos . The staff were lovely if a little bemused . There was a slight language barrier . The property is in disrepair and hasnt been cleaned for I dont know how long . There are no breakfast or bar facilities . Carpets are covered in a myriad of stains . Ranging from what looks like blood to possibly coffee . All in all avoid .I left after one night even though booked for 2"
