"Cheryl’s place is a lovely cottage near the lake. We loved everything they did to make our stay more enjoyable, from many pairs of water shoes (definitely helpful for swimming!) to folding chairs, floats, and many different coffee-making options. We also loved the wind chimes and napping bed on the screened-in porch.The swimming was good, although it’s a busy lake with many motor boats. We had some long swims and the water was warm / comfortable. It’s best to swim near shore to avoid the boats....

"My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at the 1805 House B&B. The four-poster king-sized bed was very comfortable, the large tub in the bathroom was a delight, and breakfast was delivered to our room each morning. The hosts made check in and check out very easy. We were in the area for a jazz festival and to visit a friend. This was a lovely country stay for the weekend. "

As cold as it was, the walks by the lake were beautiful and peaceful and the firepit was a great way to end the cold winter days. Leticia was always helpful. "The pictures didn’t do this place justice — it’s even more beautiful in person! The fall views over the orchard were stunning and we loved watching deer wander by in the early morning and at dusk. The rooms were perfectly sized, the kitchen was perfectly stocked and there were tons of games and movies for the kids. The host was incredible and gave us great local recommendations for things to do and places to eat. A perfect, quiet fall getaway — we can’t wait to return!"

"I couldn't believe it when I went into the room. There was not one chair to sit on. Only a bench against the wall. The pillows were so thick that it was extremely uncomfortable to sleep with my head up so high because of those pillows. There was a luggage rack, but there were no dressers to put clothes in. Just two queen beds, one bench, 2 night tables and that's it. Normally when I stay in a hotel there's at least a chair in there to sit on and a small desk. Not at this place it was very...
