The staff was wonderful and our room was fantastic with a view and clean. However, our mattress had big dents where others slept. It's time perhaps to change the mattress. The hotel is beautiful and we had not one ither complaint.

Great hotel in a great location!

What a beautiful, historic hotel! It is also close to shopping, lots of restaurants and sights. It takes less than 5 minutes to get to Detroit Opera. I plan to stay here the next time I come to Detroit.

Spacious, well equipped suite, with separate living room, full kitchen , in-room washer dryer, big-screen TV, in a gorgeously restored architecturally significant building, set in the heart of the newly revitalized downtown. Upscale shops, dining, sports arenas, refurbished movie palaces within walking distance. BUT… no heat in our room for first 24 hours, with staff that didn’t seem to be able to address or even remember the problem AND it took 10 minutes to get hot water and only after loud banging and shuddering from the pipes. In short, the hotel excelled on the high-end extras, but flunked the basics.
