"Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. 5-10 minute walk through the Palace gardens to Old Town. Hotel was gorgeous and immaculate. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Hotel breakfast and dinner in the hotel was outstanding! Rooms were spacious and very clean."

"Absolutely lovely room in an extremely walkable location. Beware that there are some people who may be experiencing homelessness around the church across the street in the evening hours. The check in process proved to be a bit difficult as I had paid, but the system wasn’t showing that I had paid so I had to go speak with a staff member. I didn’t love that the staff members are all on the fourth floor instead of welcoming you in the lobby, but as long as you know where to find them, it isn’t too inconvenient. Overall we really enjoyed the room and our stay in Salzburg."

"On the way to Salzburg from Munich, something was wrong with the train that everyone had to get off and figured out our own transportation. Upon arrival at Hotel Stein, my friend and I were hot, exhausted and a bit disheveled. Alexander at the front desk greeted us with ultimate comfort and hospitality. He offered us prosecco (which calmed our nerves) and Mozart chocolates (which cheered our mood significantly), gave us wonderful suggestions of what to do in Salzburg and was just so personable. Over the three days we were there, the most impressive was the professionalism of the staff. The location was superb as well. In the heart of Salzburg, it was easy to walk everywhere but you don’t hear any street noise while inside. Highly recommend!"

"This hotel is a little gem. Tucked away in a fantastic location, I couldn’t have asked for any more! I came to Salzburg as a solo traveller and felt completely safe and welcomed here. There is so much to see and do and the hotel is perfectly located. Would highly recommend."

"We stopped in Salzburg for one night on our trip to Vienna and wished we had stayed for two! The hotel was located walking distance from centre, Mozart residence and Mirabellplatz and gardens as well as the bridge across Salzach River to explore Old Town Town and Fortress. Our room was very spacious with amazing water pressure in the shower, ac, and a very comfortable king size bed. View was nice. Small treats on pillows and cool water bottle and fridge were appreciated. Staff at reception was very welcoming, friendly and super quick! We enjoyed our stay and would return to this hotel if we are back in Salzburg ️again :)"
