"The central heating was set to minimal - the electric fire did not work - owner checked heating settings and said were ok . We decided to leave a day early and expressing our unhappiness with the warmth of the property and were then told the fan could be used as supplementary heater !!!!!"

"Nice place to stay but it was cold outside and the rooms were cold despite radiators. They need to put spare blankets in each room. Located right in the middle of the village which was excellent. Very narrow entrance for car parking at rear of hotel "

"The host was welcoming and attentive. My vegetarian breakfast was tasty and very nice. Parking outside property. Room was clean and comfortable. Heat control tap was stiff and struggled to release a cooler temperature in the shower. Otherwise a lovely stay. "

"A beautiful cottage, centrally located with parking. Lots of restaurants within walking distance of the cottage. Nice to have a garden aswell. Everything in good condition in the cottage."

"The Lavender Cottage was straight out of a post card. The spiral staircase was difficult to navigate with large suitcases but it worked out just fine. Everything about the cottage was wonderful. The only thing to mention is that YOU NEED TO READ THE WELCOME BOOK. We were so excited to start our vacation that we skipped it at first. There are two keys. One for door and one for a closet that houses the trash bin. Yah… we missed that and we only brought one key (the wrong key) with us as we locked the door. It was impossible for us as Americans to dial the emergency number (doesn’t make sense to us either) but we had a wonderful hostess at a local restaurant that let us borrow her phone. The whole thing was a comedy of errors that was 100% our fault. We panicked and were ready to call the police when we FINALLY got through to the host. Again… this was our fault and just recommend reading the welcome book before locking the door behind you. Oh! And there is no parking. Like ZERO. We ended up parking about a 10 minute walk away and spent an extra 20 pounds per night for the inconvenience. But it was all worth it. Great place in a great location!"

"It was my wife's 60th birthday so we went away with our 2 daughters and their husbands and 3 grandchildren. We had a lovely time and the grandkids (4 3 & 2 year old ) had a ball, loving the open spaces. We did, initially have trouble locating the property. Once on Cemetary lane it is quite difficult to find, the sign was old and not very visible. (I suggest a new, bigger one) Also in the bedroom with 2 single beds, there were several Ladybirds, Overall, a lovely property and a good time had by all."
