"I love historic properties so this one was especially delightful close to so many sites of interest. Love the decor and all the Americana, with the history comes older facilities but if you can get past that it’s wonderful to stay in a charming original place. I especially enjoyed the dining options and decor- completed visit with a “shot heard round the world” shot glass for sale at the front desk! Great friendly staff as well."

"The room was sufficient for the short trip we had for a family event. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. Breakfast was great with lots of options including a made-to-order omelette station. Only disappointment was the hotel “restaurant” - technically it’s just food you order at the hotel bar - and not all options on the menu were available due to lack of supplies. The bartender was the only one on duty and also had to make the food. Food wasn’t worth the prices paid for. Overall, though, our stay was pleasant and would stay there again. "
