"Overall the hotel was good. We were lucky to be placed in a room that had a view of Edinburgh castle since the back of the hotel was under construction. In terms of cleanliness, it was fairly clean besides a small cockroach we found when eating food in our room. We had complimentary drinks which we decided to get on the day of check out and they said the bar was not open yet and the coffee machine was not working. We weren't given any alternatives. Besides that, we enjoyed our stay."

"Check was very smooth and overall the stay was relatively nice. Only issue was the power had gone out in my room only and it took over 4 hours to get any kind of update, taking a toll on my entire day. "

"Stayed in pillars house for a night with my two girls. Had the room with 3 single beds and it was super cosy. Decor was a bit dated but we loved that - felt like granny’s house! Lovely and clean and great facilities in the kitchen to use. We would definitely go back to stay. Staff were lovely and friendly. Nothing to dislike. We used public transport and that was easy from pillars house too. "

Thanks to Syed. They have restaurant with indian menu and food is obsolutely delicious. Also the fries from restaurant are great. This hotel has pool and jacuzzi which is an added benefit if we are staying with kids. My daughter loved it and enjoyed while we stayed at hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great service and a comfortable, enjoyable experience. We will definitely be returning in the future!"
