The staff was extremely friendly. Shout out to the older man running breakfast cooking and serving solo, wasn’t easy since there were so many people. The hotel itself was older but had charm.
Friendly staff, with a new manager who spent time with us at check-in and made us feel very welcome.

Liked: Cleanliness
Basic but clean and warm. Staffing was very thin on the ground in the morning although the unsupervised breakfast was fresh. Nobody was around take payment!
Hotel car park was full, street parking occupied.
Dead spiders and flies
Linen was clean
Shower was very poor
Bed was comfy
I have stayed in much cleaner establishments for significantly cheaper

Beautiful hotel in need of some talc.
Staff very friendly
I had a lovely time here. The room was clean, and for a Saturday evening it was quiet . It is an older building but I love the charm. I also love the coffee and tea in room amenities. The front desk reception was easy and very kind service. Would recommend this place.

Plenty to explore good for walks etc very friendly people x we ate out which was fantastic food x
Booked the annexe, on arriving looked pretty grim, but inside was clean and welcoming, we got upgraded to the main hotel due to an error on room allocation. The staff were all friendly, pleasant and the hotel was clean. It is in need of some upgrading, improvments, but for the price we paid it was worth it. The restaurant was clean, space between tables, the food was okay, we only ate in one night. We enjoyed a game of pool. Overall we would go back, nice and central.

The Royal Dunkeld Hotel wins hands down for the helpfulness and kindness of its staff. There are choices in stunning Dunkeld but the service here has been outstanding. I have been upgraded, offered a function room for a meeting, and have extended my stay here because of it.
We had a very nice stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, beds comfy, and breakfast was nicely cooked. We enjoyed the pool table and darts in the bar area.
The hotel is in a great , central location. Although the hotel is a bit tired, the staff were really welcoming and lovely and the service excellent. We would definitely return

The hotel could do with a bit of an update. The shower tray was not great with a fixed head that only wanted to clean the wall opposite.
The bed was squeaky and the lighting was a bit brutal.
The location is excellent though.
the staff were friendly, but the room was very basic, the gutter outside the door needed maintenance which caused water to pour out during the night, keeping us awake. Lovely location, but the annex rooms need a lot more love.

Just what I needed
Stayed one night for a work's do, just the ticket. Could do with a bit of refurbishment, but the staff were great and the breakfast was wonderful. Would stay again.

Bedding and bed were all right, clean
Grime at the shower door hinge
General untidyness throughout the hotel
Limited dinner menu
Hotel room price about right, not worth any more.
A fine comfortable stopover, very clean and adequate for our short time there. Outside annexe away from main facilities but adequate for our needs.
Breakfast average choice.
