The Guest House was designed by India Hicks, daughter of the famed British interior decorator David Hicks, and her husband David Flint Wood. The house, built in 1999 by local carpenters and craftsman in the style of an old Caribbean plantation house, is set in a grove of coconut trees, steps from Harbour Island's world-famous Pink Sands Beach.
"When we built the guest house we learned the importance of porches and verandas.
A generous veranda and a really good mattress merited investment, after all visitors spend most of their time on the beach, on the veranda, or in bed!"

“I have my own houses in the islands and I applaud the effort that must have gone into achieving what India and David have created. The seductive combination of international lives, classic British good taste (including its eccentricities), and the traditions and flavour of the Caribbean – cannot fail to inspire anyone who has the good fortune to land here.” - Ralph Lauren
