Live large in our spectacular 6-bedroom 6-bath Vista Meadows Family Retreat with a private hot tub! Situated on 20 acres of private property high above the Florida Valley this home gives you long mountain views with open meadows where you are likely to see grazing herds of elk and deer. It is conveniently located within a 15-minute drive to downtown Durango, a 40-minute drive to Purgatory Ski Resort, and just minutes to Vallecito and Lemon Reservoir.
Once inside you'll be pleasantly surprised. The gourmet kitchen is ideal for cooking big family meals with plenty of counter space, an oversized island, and a 48” professional grade 7 burner double-oven range. It opens to the dining area and wood-burning fireplace. The main-floor master suite includes a king-sized bed, TV, a five-piece bathroom with a heated jetted tub, and 6' x 4' double-head shower, and a double vanity. The lower level has a wonderful "Family Bedroom" with 1 queen, 2 full beds, and 1 twin with ensuite 3/4 bathroom, and TV. The French doors from this room open to a patio with a built-in hot tub and beautiful views. Upstairs, glass doors in the living room lead to a 19' x 10' Trex deck with breathtaking views. The vaulted tongue-and-groove ceiling, stone-faced wood-burning fireplace, and granite wet bar make a cozy atmosphere perfect for gathering. The 3rd bedroom is located on this level complete with a Queen bed, TV, and Jack and Jill bathroom. Continue up to the top floor to find the 4th private bedroom with a Queen bed, TV, ensuite bathroom, and blow-up air mattress. Whatever your ideal vacation, we promise that you will be relaxing in no time in our special piece of paradise.
IMPORTANT: This home is located on the same property aside a newly renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Barn House that is available to rent if you are looking for additional space, perfect for families looking to spread out. The Barn House sleeps 5, has a full kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, and a living area. Rent the Main House or the Barn House by themselves, or both to sleep a total of 18. Our home is NOT animal friendly due to allergies and other severe health conditions. This includes service animals in accordance with ADA standards and compliance restrictions related to such conditions.

Guests will be sent a vacation rental agreement by Durango Colorado Vacations (the property manager) to e-sign at the time of booking.
A friendly reminder before you book your stay, is to remember we are trusted to manage independent and family-owned homes. We simply ask that you treat these homes and properties with the same respect that you would expect one to treat yours. Due to a recent uptick in unauthorized guest, pets and gatherings. We are implementing a strict "one strike" policy for any guest that are found having any unauthorized gatherings, pets or guest with them in the home. Failure to disclose any of the stated above will result in immediate termination of stay with no refund being issued for unused nights.
Please note that most properties are outfitted with outdoor security cameras.
Cancellation Policy:
If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that are made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival will receive a 100% refund minus a $250 cancellation fee. Between (29) days and fifteen (15) days before arrival, guest will be refunded 50% of the reservation amount. (14) days or less to arrival, no refunds given.
For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date to receive a 100% refund minus a $250 cancellation fee Cancellations made between thirty one (31) days in advance of your arrival and (59) days will receive a 50% refund.
Trip insurance is available for purchase and is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
