Hidden Gem in Durban

Excellent location on Florida Road, a popular tourist attraction street filled with fine dining options, fashionable bars and some really good night clubs.

My check in was fine. Went to the room no remote for the tv, telephone was not working couldn't get hold of reception. I asked for a bottled water was brought a glass of tap water with ice and lemon couldn't drink it it had an awful taste. Booked for 2 but everything in the room was for single had to ask for extra towel. The passages had a funny musty smell. Early morning showing at 7.30am water trickling out of cold tap only hot water. I will not be staying here again.

Happy & comfortable

From the time we checked in, staff was friendly. The room was a lovely size. The king size bed was very comfortable. The room and bathroom was clean. All the facilities were in good order. The parking on site was very small and gets full quickly as it is on a 1st come basis. . We only parked on site 1 night. The rest of our stay, we parked on Florida Rd outside the front of the Hotel. The Hotel is in a good area. There was many restaurants to choose from. The Wi-Fi was not very strong. This can be upgraded.

Pleasant Stay at a Well-located Hotel

This was our second stay at the Benjamin. It was good value for money. It is in a prime location, close to many eateries, amenities and attractions in Durban. Overall it was a good stay, I would just recommend minor changes to the facility - such as discontinuing the use of 1-ply toilet paper for guest bathrooms, installing bar fridges in the rooms and not disconnecting the DStv as soon as their checkout times start (6:30 - 10:00).

Benjamin mid-week stay.

Great location and value. Front desk was incredibly helpful. Parking space was a little limited and the room was missing towels which had to be requested repeatedly. Overall very happy with the facilities and cleanliness. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely boutique hotel in the centre. Many good restaurants Nearby and staff wonderful. No fridge in the room but if you request they can supply. Breakfast very good. Would stay again.

Ideal and safe place to stay in Durban

I appreciated the nice hotel and breakfast. Florida street is safe to go alone in the evening to go to the restaurant. Counterpart: it's noisy! but worth it.
