The house was beautiful! The innkeeper Amanda made an excellent breakfast and was friendly and knowledgeable about the property. The house renovations fit in with the period of the house, but provided modern convenience. It was a joy to stay there

I loved my stay at the Bevin House Bed & Breakfast and am looking forward to returning. The mansion itself is gorgeous, situated on a lovely piece of property complete with a goat and some vocal chickens. The innkeeper, Amanda, was a perfect hostess, a combination of easygoing and welcoming, complete with delicious homemade cookies and thoughtful touches throughout and a delicious breakfast. Highly recommend.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this historical bed and breakfast. Loved all the attention to detail and furnishings from a time long ago. The information, tour of properties and breakfast were far beyond our expectations. If we are ever back in this area would not hesitate a return visit. The Koebels

The house was beautiful, and the decor was a perfect fit. The back porch was a delightful place to relax. Andrew was a gracious host, and his breakfast was a culinary experience. He even gave us a ride to my reunion party as it was raining. Don't lose him he made our stay unforgettable, if possible, we will return again.

Timeless B & B

Step back in time at this lovely B & B. Stately trees shade the spacious grounds. Delicious breakfasts prepared by the innkeeper will probably include eggs from the chickens on site. Beautiful refreshing pool. BEWARE. Only one of the five rooms offers a private bath. Read the room description carefully before you book. Otherwise the property offers a wonderful experience!

The Bevin House Review

Andrew, the innkeeper, was so kind and knowledgeable about the Bevin History and how he attended to guests needs. He met me at arrival and helped me with my bags. Then, we sat a bit and enjoyed a homemade cookie and conversation. The Chauncey, where I stayed, was very comfortable, wonderfully decorated. Enjoyed the next morning’s breakfast, after all, Andrew mentioned he went to culinary school, and it was quite obvious by the taste!!! Delicious. Thank you for a beautiful stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at the Bevin House. The property and home are absolutely beautiful, and from the moment we arrived, Amanda made us feel incredibly welcome. We looked forward to the amazing breakfasts each morning, which were a highlight of our stay. Our room, The Philo, was spacious, comfortable, and the perfect place to relax after spending each day exploring the many attractions and charming towns throughout Connecticut. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Dean, and enjoyed visiting with him over breakfast. His hospitality added a personal touch that made our stay even more memorable. We highly recommend the Bevin House to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay.

Amanda was lovely: very helpful and she made such delicious breakfasts every morning fresh. The house is charming. It feels like it’s in the middle of the quaintest tiny villages but Hartford is under 30 minutes away and New Haven was an easy 45 minutes. The bed was comfortable and the room was huge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
