Sage, Mermaid Coast Cottages on Lake Huron
NO ADDTIONAL FEES! No cleaning fees or pet fees. Adorable old fashion log cabin with tons of charm 350 feet from Lake Huron. Property is on Lake Huron for beautiful views all guests can enjoy. The interior is vintage and cozy. Claw foot tub with updated shower stand added. One bedroom has bunk full beds and other had one full bed. Guests have access to Lake Huron and the deck and steps built at the waters edge. There is a picnic table at the water egde as well and a badminton net. Host lives on site and is available whenever home to assist guests with their needs. The property has two other cottages and owners home. There are a lotof trees and not many neighbors. It's quiet and peaceful. We have many many bird species and lots of black squirrels and chipmunks to watch. Lake Huron is a short walk down the driveway for beautiful views. We have a picnic table and hammock at the water front for all guests to enjoy. Bring your bike and take a ride down Baldwin Resort Rd to Tawas Beach where you can take the bike lane all the way to the Tawas Point State Park or into town This property sits on wooded sand dunes next to Lake Huron. It is rural and quiet. However, because it is next to the lake and in the woods we share our property with nature. We take every precaution to keep nature outside but this is a 1950's style cabin and sometimes nature comes in anyway. Wifi is functional but slow. Not recommended for streaming.

We stayed at Sage cottage for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The location was beautiful and very convenient. We will definitely be back!
I stayed in this place for a weekend with two of my friends. It's such a cozy little cabin & we enjoyed spending our evening there with nothing but the radio :) The next morning, we only had a short walk to the lake to view the cold November sunrise
Cabin was nice clean and comfortable for us and our two dogs. The view from the private dock there is an amazing was amazing.
Just one thing for those who have dogs who love the water like ours. There is no access to the water on the property, however, the state park is two miles away and there is an amazing dog beach there!
The cabin was very cozy and had everything we needed. It's a smaller place but we planned on spending most of our time exploring and we had room in the cabin for myself, my husband and our 2 young sons and dog. It's beautiful to see Lake Huron and its a pretty quiet street if you want to go for a walk/bikeride. Close to the Point and also to downtown East Tawas. Very cute place and the owners were nice--also simple check-out which is a treat.

Rustic cabin with great potential. Beds were comfy.... but the cabin was not CLEAN. Floors had not been swept or mopped in a very long time. Cob webs throughout the whole cabin. Upon arriving....the amount of spiderwebs, bugs etc outside near the front door made it appear it had been closed up for the entire season. Very disappointing. Went by previous reviews saying it was clean! I was glad we had not booked more than one night.
A couple and their dog.
My girlfriend & I got engaged on this trip! And it all went incredibly well because of our VRBO property rentals. This was our first extended vacation together with a dog and the property and surrounding areas & restaurants were all very dog friendly! If we ever came back to this area again I would consider rebooking this property because the stay was good.
The property owners were very proactive and reached out ahead of time providing important information to us before we needed. That is especially great if you traveling in areas where the broadband isn’t great.
We loved this property and appreciate it helping us make some wonderful memories for us!
Cabin was a throwback to simpler times, and was perfect. Quiet location, and hosts were great with communicating. Very peaceful at night especially, would definitely stay again.

Quaint cabins laks side on Lake Huron, all kinds of activities. near by a park
Enjoyed our stay! Nice, clean semi secluded location only a few minutes from the state parks and beaches. Clean, simple, no frills cottage there was no ac unit but lots of fans! All of the electric outlets only had two prong plugins but luckily they supplied a three way converter for my moms cpap machine.
This little cottage is very rustic. Location is close to everything in Tawas. Had everything we needed only dowside was the stove had 2 burners we couldn't get to operate and the hot water wasn't constant and had a couple of cold showers. The views are just as posted it is the first cabin off the road so there is absolutely No breeze! It can get very warm. But we had a blast played board games at night and theres a little stereo in the corner we also brought CD's. Had a campfire saw about 12 deer which was pretty cool. We had a lot of much needed laughs!
The cabin was perfect for what we needed. The double sized bunk beds were a nice bonus. The hosts were amazing and responded to our need’s immediately. It did not bother us but the WiFi was spotty. I’d just plan on not having any reception. Beautiful location and the private dock was nice. Did not bother us walking by the other cabins to get to the lake. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
The host was very nice to answer my hundred questions, lol. Cabin felt like a cabin. Had most essentials needed. The picture of the cabin shows a couch in the living room, would definitely recommend putting some type of chair whether recliner or couch. It only had 4 wooden rockers, they were comfy, but not for extended time.
And directions how to turn up/down furnace. No tv, or microwave. But it was nice:)
It was a bit awkward walking to the dock only because you pass the other cabins and the host house and other cabins. But in all, this was a nice, clean getaway! Host were very friendly and quick to help. Planning to come back and rent the bigger cabin on the lake!!:).
This was very cute but was very outdated. The furnace really needs to be replaced, it was a cold couple nights. There is no TV and wifi barely worked. Since this was a getaway with my bf I was actually pretty happy with that! The one thing I cannot get past is that they had no couch, only 4 rocking chairs! No place to cuddle!
We did end up having a great time and the view from their dock during sunrise was amazing.
Host was great, cottage was clean and ready for us to arrive! Great sunrise view down the drive over the lake. Nice quiet neighborhood just a quick drive to downtown East Tawas or Oscoda.
