"Green World Hotels ZhongXiao was probably a very nice place at one time, now it's just run down and grubby. The room itself had scuffed walls, stained and worn carpet and some mold in the bathroom (tile grouting and around the seals on the shower door / screen). The room wasn't particularly clean either, long hairs on the bathroom floor, a plastic tag left on the side of the bath. Don't be fooled by the photos of the rooms these were obviously taken some time ago. There is little sound insulation between rooms and l could hear my neighbours speaking quite clearly. The public areas fared no better than the room, marked walls, stained carpets and as for the elevators l've seen more inviting freight elevators. Staff at reception are barely interested, no greeting or acknowledgement when leaving or returning to the hotel. The saving grace was the breakfast which was surprisingly good. The hotel just feels unloved and is in need of renovation, and some better trained staff. "

"Breakfast had great fresh options (and enough protein for me as I avoid Gluten and eat lowcarb) But really where this hotel excels is service, staff and facilities. Everyone was just amazing. Room was large and so well maintained. I recommend it and would absolutely stay again"

"The Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei was a very nice quiet hotel. The bed was large and comfortable. There was a separate shower and bath with plenty of towels and soap/shampoo/conditioner. The staff was very friendly and always greeted everyone. It was close to transportation...bus and subway. "

"Our room had a beautiful view of the road and the tree line. The buffet was delicious with great variety. This hotel is attached to a mall so it can get busy. There were a lot of people there for business and for weddings."
