We were so blessed to find Robert's Rest for our family visit to town. This was our family's first time in North Carolina and the home gave us space, privacy and the quiet we needed. Very thankful for a kitchen to use for our family meals as well as the walkability to town. We would recommend Robert's Rest to anyone!
My 3 adult daughters and their spouses/significant others stayed here for a family funeral. Found it to be exactly as described online. Location is fantastic and allowed everyone to walk to everything Edenton has to offer. Beautiful old home that feels like Edenton. Would definitely rent again. Owners were easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Enjoy Edenton from here!
House was comfortable and the sleeping arrangements were fine. Kitchen/Dining area was spacious and was well equipped with necessary appliances. Living room was large and all 6 of us had individual seating to enjoy time together. Location to Downtown and the Episcopal Church made walking enjoyable. was
We recently stayed at Roberts rest and found the property to be very clean, stocked with everything one might need, and it was a very comfortable place to spend a few days with friends. We enjoyed walkable access to downtown Edenton and the waterfront. We had a few questions along the way, and our hosts were very responsive. I recommend this property to others traveling to Edenton.
6 of us (3 couples) enjoyed this home for a long weekend.
Home was clean, well equipped with plenty of room for us to enjoy meals together as well as spread out in smaller groups. Edenton is a beautiful town and the house was within walking distance of everything downtown.

Edenton House
We enjoyed the location and the beauty of Edenton. But we felt we were invading the owner's privacy as all their goods, clothing and other items were still in closets, frig, and counters. The gas stove needs a good cleaning but otherwise, the house was clean.

Beautiful home. Decorated to fit in with the historic district. Owners are very nice and easy to communicate with. Short walk to shops, water front, and restaurants. We will be back the next chance we get.
The outside and inside the property was great. Very welcoming. Many antique and period pieces in the home giving it a warm feel. I did find some grocery in the refridgerator unopened and the pillow cases didn't appear to be freshly laundered. There are plenty of kitchen amenities for cooking and entertaining larger groups.
Our family enjoyed staying in this beautifully appointed character-filled home! The home was clean, welcoming, and in a historic town with lots of shops and eating options. The owners were easy to communicate with. The house is obviously loved by the owners who take great care of it. We enjoyed taking a walk along the sound and looking at historic homes. We recommend this VRBO listing!
Overall, our stay was pleasant. We were pleased with the location and delighted with the space. however, to much clutter or many little distractions. Dolls, objects, furniture and things that one might break or fall and hurt a child! Also, it was as clean downstairs as one would have hoped because there was so much stuff throughout. It seemed that someone was living their full time and left in a hurry having left the laundry room door open and trash unattended too! Other than that, our stay was fun and would recommend others to consider staying at the property as well as us! Really don't want to sound negative simply thinking out loud just in case you'll wanted to make some changes or upgrades!
My book club friends came for a long weekend and Shrimp Festival
There were supposed to be six of us. We are all in our 70’s book group has been together 30;years. There were only three of at the last minute., but. We each had our own room. My sister lives on W. Gale. She was our tour guide and Shrimp Fest partner. We had a blast. Ate great food, shopped, toured historic district etc. house was great. A few minor annoyances ( no ice maker, master suite toilet runs if you don’t watch it, did not find WiFi info until the last night, very homey and comfortable. Took some doing to figure out tv…) really enjoyed the house. Thanks!
Place is close to restaurants and the streets are wonderful to walk on. Many beautiful homes in the area. Place was very comfortable. Had a very nice stay.
