We love this hotel and have stayed many times. It has a good secure car park. The staff are lovely and we have been luck to get upgrades, the last one being room 8. Andrew is on reception is great and is so friendly. It is handy to visit our daughter who lives 20 mins walk away. The area is lovely with plenty great restaurants and shops. Edinburgh centre is a nice walk and it’s on the bus route also

We have stayed before at this hotel and had a very well appointed room and bathroom each time. This time , we were disappointed by the state of the bathroom. It was obviously fitted out for disabled customers (which we did not require) , but quite dated and had a distinct smell in the room and bathroom. We did get our room cleaned… of a fashion. We didn’t get clean cups for our tea/ coffee or any replacement pods for the coffee machine which was disappointing . This has unfortunately made us think again about staying in the future .
