Luxurious and cosy at the same time! Very close to the city center and not far from the airport, so very easy to get around either by bus (very efficient ones) or walking. The bathroom is magnificent, very comfy bed, great breakfast, it was perfect. Really great value too!

A quiet room and a good night sleep

The bedroom and shower room were very clean. The water pressure in the shower was variable right down to a trickle at times. The lighting in the corridors was too low for safety. Breakfast was tasty, waiter was pleasant but felt he was new to the job.

No service hotel. No one at check in or check out. No housekeeping stay over service (don’t mind that, but they should let you know.). Quiet and clean. Not much going on around that area of town. Convenient airport access via 100 bus.

The only issue was lack of staff to answer questions and assist. There was no way to get drinks other than walk down the street. I know that's being picky but you get what you pay for. Other than that, the price was fair for the stay and location.

Worse Hotel in Edinburgh

The hotel was poorly maintained, mattresses were very soft, carpet smelled like mold which has lead to sinus infections for both my husband & me. There is not ventilation system, so the humidity from the shower was not captured. The location is on a major bus route with the bus stop for all bus right outside the building. Expensive room rate not reflected in the accommodation. Worse than a Motel 6 could ever be!

gut erreichbar (Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Tür) großes Zimmer modernes Bad Check-In trotz der späten Anreise problemlos möglich - Rezeption selten besetzt (wir mussten klingeln und ca. 15 Minuten warten, bis jemand kam) - Fenster lassen sich nicht zum lüften öffnen - sehr hellhörig Alles in allem hat uns die Unterkunft gut gefallen und wir würden sie weiterempfehlen!

Room was very small even by European standards but clean. Within a half hour walking distance to many things. Edinburgh Castle was about 20 min walk away. Front desk is rarely manned if you need anything like towels or a water refill. Though staff we did encounter were pleasant. I left a souvenir bag in reception with over $100 of stuff in it and they saved it behind the counter for me. That was a huge relief!!

Easy to get to and from for watching the Women's Six Nations rugby or to go to the city centre, with car park in front. Superb building, with great bathroom and great service. A most pleasant stay, thank you very much.

Great stay

Despite some of the reviews, we had the room with 1 double bed and 2 single beds. Plenty of storage what you need for a weekend away, beds were comfortable and clean and breakfast was lovely. Taxi was only £4 to princess street if you didnt want to walk. Overall was brilliant and would stay again.

I never saw anyone from the lodge during our entire three night stay! No one at the front desk. No one from house cleaning. No one! That said, our room was adequate. The walls were a bit thin but not terrible. The location was not ideal. Still we enjoyed our stay. I’m just not sure I would stay there again.

Very comfortable and clean hotel. On our second morning the hot water was not very hot so perhaps it can't cope when everyone is up at the same time! The free parking was most welcome. Breakfast was good too. It's only a 30 minute walk to the centre of Edinburgh so nice and convenient.
