"We stayed in 11 properties across Europe on our trip and this is the only hotel that stood out above the rest. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so helpful, friendly, attentive, and discreet. The property is old and well maintained and our room was charming, spacious and comfortable. Plenty of on-street parking outside and the village is quiet (safe for motorcycles). We hadn’t planned on booking dinner but when it arrived, wow!!! We got the the finest of classic French cooking with an impressive wine list and friendly service. Dinner was so good we booked again for the second night. The property is 30 mins from Le Man and 4 hrs from Roscoff making it a convenient stop on the way to/from the Ferry in Brittany. We would definitely visit this place again."

"A pleasant small hotel in a sleepy small town which has a massive Hogwartsesque abbey by the river. A very pleasant place for a short visit. The rooms were comfortable and clean and we had an excellent dinner in the restaurant."

"Pool was great Needs a plug in the sink, washing up was difficult. Friendly host.Good sized rooms but upstairs very hot unfortunately. Heat was a problem, thank goodness for the pool.Pigs lovely!.T tennis and billiards were really good.Good holiday all round. Thank you."

"La maisonnette est récemment rénovée. L’emplacement est formidable, jouxtant un vieux château avec une terrasse donnant sur un jardin municipal très calme. Aux alentours de nombreux châteaux ouvrent leurs jardins à la visite, accessibles par des routes très cyclables. Un distributeur automate de pain à proximité et tous commerces à 3km à Meslay, accessible par une piste cyclable directe."

"At first there was a bit of a mixup regarding accommodation but the owner went out of her way to rectify the situation & was more than helpful. Had a very nice meal at a local restaurant Contine. The breakfast which was included was very good with home made preserves etc. Parking on the street wasn't a problem at all. Would recommend staying in this beautiful historic small chateau. Thank you."

"It's very much a DIY bed and breakfast in a lovely location. We had the house to ourselves. The evening meal and breakfast were available in the kitchen to have at a time of our choosing. Antoine was very friendly and helpful . We would return"
