"Very quiet location. The staff made an effort to make us feel welcome. The surroundings are great too. We were happy that they also offered dinner and breakfast service. Note that the location shown on Expedia is not where the hotel is but it’s rather a 30 min drive from egilstadir. Check Google Maps for the correct location along route 917"

"Excellent stay, friendly staff, clean rooms. Stayed at many Guesthouses during our travels in Iceland this was by far the best!!! Was a little nervous about the shared bathroom but it was not an issue and they were clean!! Thanks for taking great care of us, The site also has laundry service!"

"Beautiful Views of the lake and surrounding area. Staff was friendly. The owners Mrs. Christine and her Husband, who is the dinner time chef were very kind. The food at night was good. Breakfast was very good and the morning staff was super nice! Little bar for drinks in the lobby. Sitting area and restaurant in main building. Rooms had a full glass window wall and door (with black out curtains) to enjoy the view. Refrigerator, work desk. Sitting chairs and a table. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. 2 outdoor hot tubs on the property facing the lake. I would stay here again. Thank You ROD N.Y."
