"Everything super nice, clean, pleasant, and thoughtful. Yola did a great job at check-in. The tents are 5-10 minutes nice walk from the beach. There is a nice family/dining room with Icelandic traditional deco for dinner or just hanging out. The showers and kitchen were clean and well equipped. Yola is knowledgeable and helpful if you want to do activities in the area. Thank you, we had a great stay! "

Restaurant was excellent and offered a generous selection for the free breakfast (TIP: book a dinner reservation before checking in, if you can). Tea and coffee station was appreciated. The pillows and towels were less than stellar and the window coverings are not blackout. Note: there was no microwave or fridge in the room (which was tough if you have a cooler full of food for the rest of your travels)."

"Hotel Grimsborgir is located near the kerid crater. It was my intention to visit the crater as soon as it opened in the morning, but I got a little impatient and couldn’t wait (it didn’t open until 10 am). That’s on me, though, for being the way that I am. The location is perfect for those who are traveling along the Golden circle and wish to further explore the area.
