"The woman at check in said she would come get me when the room was ready, as I was waiting in the cafe area, but she never came, so I sat from 11 am to 4pm. Maybe my room was ready earlier than 4pm, but I wouldn't know. So then I had to stand in line again and the woman who was to wait on me, merely looked at me. I had to figure out I should step forward, as her personality seems to be shy and awkward to speak. The lady at the cafe in the evening spoke very softly with an accent that I had no idea what she was saying so I didn't order. Then in the morning, the shuttle driver was a smart ass when answering my question if the ride was free, hey it's NYC, who knows. He replied that it was $100, presumable as a joke or sarcasm, but with out a smile, correction, or context, it was an odd moment. Then as I supervised him putting my luggage in the back, he told me to go in the bus. But only two weeks ago, an Uber driver left one of my suitcases at the pick up area, thus leaving it as the airport, and then a few months ago, my backpack never made it to my destination from an Uber guy too, resulting in $7,000 in losses. When I told the driver this was why I was waiting to be sure my luggage made it into the bus, he replied, "So you want me to leave your bag on the street?" He was odd, and strange energy, so I pulled my luggage off the bus and opted to pay for a cab in order to get away from him. Although the room was good for a night, I would not return."

"Perfect for staying at before an early morning flight. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good shower pressure with adjustable shower heads. Also has a nice breakfast buffet with hot items and if they run out of room in the airport shuttle they call cabs for the overflow. "

"Really nice combination of feeling like an oasis but also on a little street that feels local and fun. And I liked the vibe of the clientele. It seemed like there were lots of locals or from nearby Brooklyn like us. We got an ocean view room and the little patio was really lovely. At one point there was a pilates workout class below us which was hilariously loud but I appreciated that there were people being active and the trainer seemed really good and funny. It felt like the hotel had a pulse. And honestly there's some nice curation of the art, and books around the lobby and the rooms. Used the house car once, we absolutely loved the driver. I will think of our conversation for a long time. The pool was *slightly* too cold imo on the warm day we were there, but it was perfect on the colder windy day we went in. Probly hard to dial in the temp and keep everyone happy. On the windy colder day it was so nice to use the sauna and then the pool. All the food we had was quite good, though I'm sad to say we only had one night and didn't sit down at their official restaurant, but we did get the pastries from the bakery and complimentary coffee which was all very good . Overall staff and amenities were just great. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return."
