Whether you're just visiting for the weekend, or staying for a longer much needed getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Lewis' Cottage is the perfect retreat. Nestled along the wood line, this private accommodation can offer guests the perfect escape into tranquility and relaxation. With 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, futon in living room, 1 bath, air conditioning, decorative fireplace in the living room, full kitchen, and a washer/dryer, this homey hideaway provides all of the amenities you need, and the extravagance you don't. This property is dog friendly. 2 dogs max * Additional flat fee will be charged per pet, if necessary, after we receive your signed Rental Agreement. If you are coming to enjoy the nature of this area, we encourage guests to take a walk along the wood line, cross the stream via the naturally fallen tree bridge, or enjoy the fire pit under the night sky. If you are looking for an even more nature filled trip, this cozy cottage is in close proximity to many hiking and biking trails in Ohiopyle State Park and the greater Laurel Highlands, as well as the Youghiogheny River for whitewater rafting or kayaking. Relaxing stay in the woods.

Lewis Cottage is just what we were looking for. A simple quiet cabin in the woods but an easy 20 min drive to anything you would need. The two person hot tub was the best way to unwind after the day of exploring. Would most definitely stay again.

Relaxing and private

We stayed at the cabin for a weekend getaway. The house was very clean and organized. The mattress was comfortable. We didn’t do any cooking so I’m not sure how the kitchen was stocked. The hot tub appears to be well maintained and worked fine. Overall recommend!

Great Cabin in quiet area

Really nice and quiet are. Hot tub was the best. It's really quiet in the area with a few places near by so if you need to get some things from civilization, it's not too far away.

Outstanding Cabin

Just completed a 4 day stay at this cabin. It was spotlessly clean, in a perfect location and extremely well appointed. We enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor fire pit. Easy travel to hiking and biking in Ohiopyle. Absolutely loved it and would stay here again without hesitation.

Cozy cabin, as described

We adored our time in this cute cabin close to Ohiopyle. The beds were comfortable, with plenty of pillows, and we LOVED the hot tub. It's private, and just out the back door - no need to spend too much time in the cold air between inside and the tub. They provided really clear instructions on what was available and what to bring - we were glad to have our extra roll of toilet paper, as they do not provide backup. Otherwise we had everything we needed, and found the location convenient for our little weekend away. Also, if you like Italian food, be sure to check out Meloni's (about 15 minutes away). It was delicious!

Bike Riding Time

Very pleasant area, close to Ohiopyle so we rode bikes both days and there was a large shed to put our bikes in. Nice hot tub and grill.

Great way to say goodbye summer

My husband and our five-year-old son had a wonderful last trip before summer is done. The cabin was the perfect spot to rest after our hiking and other adventures. Dinner outside, hot tub time and general fun playing tag and chase. The washer dryer combo worked great, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Can’t wait to go again.

Pleasant and quiet

Cozy and very quaint. Kitchen well appointed, bed very comfortable. We enjoyed the porch and outdoor picnic tables. The only drawback it that it is fairly close to the road. Cars, while infrequent, zoom up and down very fast. But, overall a good experience.

Birthday weekend

My kids (twin 11 yo girls) had off of school Friday and my bday was Sunday, so I decided to book a little weekend away. The deck/hot tub was phenomenal for the cold, snowy weekend. The cabin is cute, clean and well stocked with the necessities. I let the girls have the king bed which they said was really comfy. I took the queen bed which was very firm and personally didn’t find it comfy but I still slept well. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Cutesy cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was excellent. My only complaints would be the king bed was super uncomfortable to me and made my back and hips ache. We switched to the queen bed our second night and while the mattress was very firm it wasn’t as rough on my body. However, mattress comfort is subjective. The only other issue I had was that the lamp posts lining the front wall weren’t working but it wasn’t a huge deal. Would stay again.

Nice property, but some safety concerns

Overall this is a great little home nested in woods on the top of the mountain. No cell phone signal (AT&T), but that's not a bad thing! WIFI worked perfectly so we were able to do any online communications/work that needed to be done. 2 Window AC units kept the place nice and cool even though it was pretty warm during the day. The hot tub was nice during the cool evenings. The bed was super comfortable as well. But, there are a few safety concerns that could easily be fixed.... The windows in the one bedroom and kitchen do not lock and can be easily opened from the outside if someone wanted to. The door to the main house doesn't have any lock at all, but the main entry door to the foyer does. However the storm door barely latches and the only lock on the main entry door is the touch pad for entry and it is very lose and wobbly on the door and needs to be tightened. Overall not a bad stay and the window/door locks should be able to be fixed easily.

I guess I should have know when the ad said rustic. What is should have said is rundown and in need of major renovations and updates! The noise generated by the dehumidifier having to run and window ac was awful. Upon entering the property it had a musty smell…When we arrived there was no ac in the King bedroom, thankfully the management had that taken care of the next day. There was no lock on the front door after you entered the closed in porch, there were only 3 chairs not 4 as in the pictures. The Xfinity satellite box did not work. The spa was inoperable. KUDOS to Eric. He is a great employee and worked tirelessly to solve our ac, satellite issue by providing a YouTube TV account, fixing the spa, putting a lock on the key on the front door, chairs for the porch and table issues. You need to make sure that you do everything you can to keep him employed by your company he took care to make sure we were satisfied with theThe place was dirty…floors corners of the rooms, cobwebs that my wife cleaned up, the vacuum cleaner did a poor job of picking up any dust or dirt. She later found the vacuum stuffed full of dirt in the tubing which stopped the vacuum from sucking. She removed the clog.The shower head needs replaced the water flow is barely above a trickle. The sink in the bathroom has a bad faucet and has been leaking for some time, we had to keep a towel on the left side to contain the water. The bottom inside of one of more but could not post. Need emai
The cover for the spa is ripped, torn, sheds its styrofoam insulation and has seen better days and should be replaced. The stove needs a good cleaning. The gas grill was not the stainless steel model shown in your pictures.

Great Location

The hosts were really great with communication. Location was easy to find and great home base fur exploring Ohiopyle and Confluence. Fort Necessity and a winery is right up the road. Even though there were a lot of neighbors, it was quiet and we never heard anyone. Back deck was pretty and secluded. Only bad thing is the cabin was extremely dated.

Cute cabin

We loved the cabin. It was was very clean. The weather didn't cooperate with us so the back was very nice to sit and relax on. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. Would definitely stay again.

Lewis cabin

The cabin was clean and adequately stocked and furnished. I feel that the description was a bit lacking. We were surprised that the cabin sat in an actual residential neighborhood. We were awakened by the one neighbor cutting his grass at 7:30am. Considering our quiet time was from 9pm to 9am, I felt we should have been accorded the same courtesy. One of the lamps had no on/off button and had to be unplugged to turn off. The gas grill had no propane. The bedroom and kitchen windows didn't locked, the inside door had no lock. I was not overly impressed. I may rent again from Ohiopyle Vacation Rentals but I will do a more thorough research first. Many of the issues such as the issues with the windows I saw in a previous review. The problems clearly were not addressed.

Upgraded

The pipes at Lewis cottage were frozen, the rental company contacted us before we arrived to tell us, and upgraded us to a much bigger rental with the same amenities. Cannot comment on Lewis cottage but the upgraded house “mountain majesty” was very nice. Great communication from the rental company.
