Great little place.

Great place, jacuzzi tub. Kurig and regular coffee maker. Cereal and various small breakfast items available. Owner was very nice. Recommend staying there.

I absolutely loved my stay at Rose House Inn. It’s so charming, I felt like I had stepped back in time. The bed was so soft and comfortable, the antique claw foot tub in the bathroom was divine and I enjoyed my morning coffee in my private sitting parlor. You can just feel the richness and history that this home holds. I will definitely be back!

When we arrived, we found out that the hotel was shortstaffed so there was no breakfast. They claimed there was a continental breakfast but that consisted of juice, milk, cereal, and granola bars so I do not consider that a continental breakfast. Fortunately 1/2 of our group had already arrived so we were able to go pick up some groceries and store them in the refrigerator that was provided in the kitchen. The fridge was a lifesaver as well as the microwave. Overall, the stay was peaceful and quiet. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable

The Rose House Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's a lovely old victorian home. Note: bedrooms 4, 5, and 6 are up a flight of stairs. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the porch; quiet and relaxing.

It is a beautiful property in a quiet area. Check in was easy, even though I got in late. My room was nice and clean, and the bed was comfy. The water pressure was fantastic. I think I was the only one in the house because it was quiet every night. It was a really nice stay, I will be back.

The property was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. We liked the atmosphere of being in a special home instead of a motel. It was quiet. We did have a wasp, but we were able to kill it. There was a slight musty odor that is common to old or shut up houses. Maybe some kind of air freshener could be left in the rooms.

After speaking with other guests we found out we were charged nearly double what they were charged. The barking dog next door woke me up in the middle of the night. Should not be advertised as including breakfast unless you don’t mind a granola bar & an apple. I will say that my bed was very comfortable.

Decent Stay Quiet Stay

The room was good. I love hot water; the water did not get hot at all to me. I was on the top floor and in those old houses the ceiling is not that tall. I was bent over most of the stay when I was up walking around in the room. I am 6'3 and that was harsh on my back. Other than that, it was a very good place and very well hidden off from everything. Quiet and secluded. Nothing in Fayette to do. The Rose is a very good place to stay.

The reason I have given less than a five star was because , we were informed hours before that we were put in a side cottage & not what we booked - main inn that was having its roof done .. Had someone banging on common entry at 10pm The oranges in bowel in kitchen were shrivelled & the bananas past the date. The bedroom itself was outdated , the plumbing loose etc It is a central location next to this small town centre

Location was great for our travel plans. Easy to find and get to. Our upstairs room was lovely, however the stairs were not ideal (we are in our 70’s ) for carrying luggage. Website said there was an elevator but we couldn't find it. We stayed in the main house which is also lovely. Property was lovely. Check-in was easy although there were no staff which is stated on the website. There was a sign posted in the kitchen about ‘due to staff shortages’….so we completely passed on breakfast which was poor…a basket of not desirable pre-pkgd bakery goods and bars. We headed out to local diner Charlies and had a Thigpen sandwich…it was excellent! We chose to go to Sams BBQ for our dinner. MUST go there! Smoked wing, brisket sandwich and smoke turnip greens were the best Ive ever had!!!!!!
