تفاصيل مكان الإقامة

"Rebel Base" in the Heart of Fayetteville

  • Summary:
Regroup at the "Rebel Base" in the heart of Fayettevile, West Virginia's "Coolest Small Town". This 2 bedroom, 1 bath house has a tasteful and fun Star Wars theme that will welcome you in after a day of exploring the New River Gorge National Park. The "Rebel Base" is strategically located on a quiet street but less than a five minute walk from Downtown. The base was fully remodeled in 2022 with hosting in mind and feels modern and functional. This is the nicest small vacation rental in town!
NOTE: There is a $40 fee charged for early check-in or late check-out. We may not always be able to accomodate this type of request.

    The Space:
    null.

    The Neighborhood:
The Rebel Base is in a quiet residential neighborhood next to Downtown. Our neighbors are friendly and polite - please wave or say hello when you see them! When we're in town, we like to start our Saturdays with a stroll over to Wood Iron Eatery or Cathedral Cafe for coffee and breakfast.

    Getting Around:
The Rebel Base is on a very narrow street and the town strictly enforces their policy of no on-street parking for vacation rentals. Please help us comply with the policy and respect our neighbors by only parking in the driveway. The driveway only has room for two vehicles, so if you need to bring more than two cars on your trip, this is not the place for you.
You're a short, safe walk to the shops and restaurants in Downtown Fayetteville.

    Interaction with Guests:
We live on the West Coast, so there is a 3-hour time difference (8:00 a.m. in WV is 5:00 a.m. where we live). We are happy to answer any questions you have, and certainly, if there is a problem, contact us immediately. If your question is not urgent, please try to wait until the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Very nicely done and spotlessly clean two bedroom house and the decorative theme is a bonus if you love Star Wars. Great location for walking about Fayetteville. A short walk to Pies and Pints for yummy pizza and great beer. Proximity to New River Gorge is a plus. Kitchen is nicely remodeled and well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. We loved our stay and would definitely return.

Great location that's walkable to downtown restaurants and shops. House was clean and had all basic supplies (towels, soap, coffee, etc) and some extras (washer and dryer, detergent, USB charge towers, extra blankets). I had a small 9' motorcycle trailer that fit in the driveway next to the truck. Larger trailers won't fit so this isn't the place to bring a SXS or similar trailer.

Great House/Location/Communication

Our family stayed here for three nights and had a lovely stay. The house was clean, easy to access, located in a central spot to the rest of the area, and the host was easy to communicate with and quick an answer questions. Will stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rebel Base. Appears to be recently renovated and the owners did an excellent job. Plenty of towels, shampoo, and a well stocked kitchen made for a comfortable stay. Close to town in a quiet neighborhood was a bonus.

Awesome theme and location

We booked with short notice and were completely satisfied. The home was very tidy and our host was accommodating. We didn’t need much but it met all of needs. The location was very close to the New River Gorge attractions. If we were in the area again, we definitely would consider this location again.

The Star Wars themed property is a galactic gem! Cleaner than a polished R2-D2. The location was perfect—close to local hotspots yet serene like Endor’s moon. Amenities were top-notch, and the host was as responsive as C-3PO. A true rebel base for our vacation—we will certainly be back.

Nate's place was fun and funky, fully delivering on the promised Star Wars theme! It was also perfectly located, so we could drive to trailheads in <10 minutes and walk into town for dinner.

The property is in a good location with walkability to town which we took advantage of every day. In general, the home appeared clean but when I got to the kitchen, there were drain flies everywhere. I killed over a dozen before I started taking pictures of them to share with the host who told me he was there the night before and there was no problem at all. I wound up killing four to eight of these bugs every day. My first morning, I went to make coffee and the coffee pot had dried burnt on coffee. And then, the main reason I grabbed this house other than location, was for the washer and dryer after rafting all day. Went down to the washer to find damp towels in the washer left by someone previouly.. After the bug incident, and letting the host know and sending pictures, he returned no further contact. Considering he was the last person there according to him, it's really disappointing how the place was left and the lack of follow-up with me. As a fellow host, I know things can happen and go wrong but the host response can make all the difference and in this case there was none. The shower filled up with water about 1 to 2 in because it wasn't draining well. I did not report this to the host because again, there was no follow-up to what I was sending. Additionally, since he mentioned he was there the night before, it's disappointing how this place was left for the next guest.
