Feldberg

"Pros: The private terrace with the mountain view — waking up to the Feldberg panorama every morning was the highlight. The apartment is impeccably maintained, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed, and the furniture strikes a perfect balance between homely warmth and a touch of luxury. Cons: On the downside, the building itself is well-maintained but rather plain — the common areas don't quite match the apartment's standard — and the parking is not right next to the building."

It's a very good base for walking in the area, though the lake is not as pretty as Titisee up the road. Parking was easy, luckily, but they also give you a pass while you're there and you can take the train wherever you want. If you have a dog, the facilities are good and they were very kind. There's a nice park just up the hill, great for early morning or late night walkies. Very convenient to a grocery store, an atm, and right across the street from the tourist information center! The staff...
