Blue Ridge Mountains Luxury 1-bedroom Mountain Cabin -- Viewpoint Cabin is perched among the tall Virginia pine trees and surrounded by soft bed of mountain laurels. As you open the front door, you are greeted with a giant cypress tree in the center of the house and then you are immediately drawn to the unobstructed view through the huge windows. Viewpoint Cabin offers you light and airy interior where you feel suspended in air. An architectural masterpiece!!!

When you are inside, you might curl up in the cozy window seat and read your favorite book. Or you can step outside to the view deck, perfect for enjoying the brisk morning air or bask in the warm afternoon sun on the lounge chair. Then, you relax in the hot tub on the deck.

The unique benefits of the cabin are the following: Wide open view of the mountains from every room. All one level. Hot but on the view deck. Jacuzzi bath in the master bathroom. Tons of hiking trails right out your front door, plus horse stables right in the Leatherwood Mountains complex. Boone is just 35 minutes away!!!

Tranquil Retreat

Beautiful cabin that is like a treehouse in the mountains. Very clean, amazing view, peaceful and kitchen well equipped. Easy checkin and Joy was great to work with.

What a great relaxing getaway!

Beautiful place with a beautiful view. Well stocked, very quiet and peaceful and a great place to get away and relax. Joy was very responsive to questions and provided may great suggestions for things to do.

Overall pretty good

The property is secluded and has an amazing view. Quiet and very peaceful is the best part. The deck needs work I fell partially in one of the planks and hot tub likely needs to be repaired. Heat was in excess of 110 when it was opened Place was clean and comfortable. Overall good place to go just needs some basic upkeep

This is the third time my wife and I have stayed in Viewpoint Cabin. We stayed for 3 nights for half of our Honeymoon in 2015 and loved it so much we came back for a full week in 2017 and again for 3 nights in 2025. The property seems to have been well taken care of, and we were excited to see that the house and property are relatively unchanged from our previous stays. The house itself is absolutely amazing with incredible views! The mountain roads to get to the cabin are definitely an adventure but totally worth it. The cabin itself is worth the trip. But we have been blown away with how much we have enjoyed the surrounding area, specifically Blowing Rock, Boon & Grandfather Mountain areas. I had noticed that a previous review had mentioned that the deck needed repairs. However, all of the decking had been recently replaced when we arrived.

Very nice home in a secure gated community with extreme privacy and extreme views. Only drawback is the long drive to Boone and blowing rock but worth the stay.

Great getaway

We enjoyed this property a lot, we rented it for a quiet get away weekend and it was just what we needed. Instructions were clear and this house was very well equipped. Very quiet and the view was beautiful!

Perfect relaxing weekend away

Joy’s mountain house was exactly what we needed. The house itself was beautiful and spacious for two people. We loved the back deck with the hot tub and the window seats with mountain views. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in at a rental house. There was a pretty hike right out the front door that we took our dog on and he loved it! This was overall a great place for us to relax, unplug, and escape.

Absolutely loved it

We stayed in this beautiful property for our honeymoon weekend and had a lovely time. Per the host's recommendation, we brought food with us and cooked in the well appointed kitchen. The hot tub was wonderful and I was in and out of it all weekend! The views were stunning and we were surprised that the fall color was still gorgeous even into mid-November. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Secluded and romantic

Love the seclusion and quietness of the property, beautiful views. I had a few problems with some dirty pots that were left. We had to clean before using. The place was also freezing cold and we were not able to adjust the temperature limited cell service up here so we’re not able to contact the property owners other than those few glitches it was a beautiful stay

Incredible Private Mountain House

We loved this house so much! The views were amazing and the amenities were top notch! The property is very private and tucked away in a nice, gated community. I really enjoyed being away from any town centers or commercial areas as this gave a more authentic mountain retreat feel, but for those more accustomed to convenience, keep in mind the nearest grocery store or gas station is a good 40 min drive away :)

Quiet picturesque location

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is secluded but not completely isolated. Very good views; my wife took quite a few pictures. The property appears to be built to be accessible if that's a need. The kitchen is well stocked with goods, which pleased my wife to no end. The roads within 500 meters of the cabin are narrow but navigatable. Very picturesque load scenes as well; again, many pictures my wife took. All in all an excellent place to stay. We intend to return. .

Anniversary weekend

My husband and I (plus our dogs) wanted a weekend to getaway, to unplug. What a gorgeous view. It was quiet and peaceful. And we loved it. Perfect getaway

My wife and decided last minute to stay here for a long weekend. The cabin is everything shown on the pictures. Elegant yet rustic. The views are perfect and the large windows throughout make the experience so much better. We went to blowing rock one day which was about a 45 min drive. Definitely recommend driving there. We will definitely be back.

amazing views

First impression of opening the front door is amazing, the cabin was spectacular. From the views to the cozy fireplace everything surpassed my expectations. the only issue i had was the drive up the mountain to get to it, i have a large truck which made some of the narrow turns slightly difficult and more then likely impossible if theres ice or snow so plan accordingly.
