"We had never considered Bermuda for a vacation, but work took us there. What beautiful island. Grotto Bay was a wonderful place to stay. They had a great beach, and it was a really fun experience to swim in the cave."

"Location, location, location! We loved being right across the street from one of the best beaches in Bermuda. We also enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning, and it was just a short walk to see the sunset too…the best of both worlds. The restaurant at John Smith’s is a fun local spot, and they have a DJ on Friday nights which was so much fun! The property definitely needs some upgrades, and not having on-site laundry was tough for our family, but they do offer light laundry service if you stay for a certain amount of time. The host, Elizabeth, was lovely and very responsive. We would stay here again."

"It is always a pleasure to stay at Wayne’s property. His communication and hospitality are helpful and welcoming, he always checks in to make sure things are going well. The unit we rented is clean and comfortable with all the amenities we need. There’s a beautiful view of the pool and Harrington Sound. I love the fact that we can access both the pool and Harrington Sound for swimming. The residence is about a 10 minute (hilly) walk to the nearest bus stop (buy tickets or passes at the Post Office you’ll pass). There are great views of the North Shore and it’s just a few more minutes walk to the market and a pizzeria. BUZZ N Go on the corner is a nice convenience store with good food and coffee and just up the hill is Mamma Mia where you can get a delicious fish sandwich. (10 and 11 bus runs frequently, schedules are online and google maps is super helpful.) Flatts Village is nearby with the Bermuda Aquarium, Natural History Museum and Zoo; nearby is my favorite restaurant: Village Pantry.Honestly, I’ve been reluctant to post a detailed review of this place as I don’t want more competition booking it!"

"Fantastic room. Beautiful beach. Two pools one for adults only. One with a fair number of kids playing. That’s a good move imho. For both groups. Food was amazing. So many expensive resorts where the pricey food is just so-so. Not here. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic every time we ate there. Check in was a little weird. No front desk. Concierge and others who didn’t speak much English but were trying very hard to help. It’s fine but if most of your clients are from the US you should have an English speaking manager on duty - I mean the island is filled with people who speak the kings English far better than I do. But overall loved it. Gave it five stars for a reason. Go and enjoy."

"An Unforgettable Stay in Bermuda! Mike and his incredible pup, Karma, were absolute top tier hosts from start to finish! Check in was seamless, and the home was pristine. The pool was incredibly refreshing, and the picture perfect waterfront views felt straight out of a luxury travel magazine. My now fiancée and I stayed for 6 days, and by the end, it truly felt like a home away from home. Leaving was tough, but Bermuda and this special retreat will forever hold a unique place in our hearts. Thank you so much, Mike, for opening up your home and welcoming us so warmly to the island. We couldn't have asked for a better trip!"

"Spacious property & great location for our family group We booked this property for our family (three generations with six adults plus an infant) for our wedding weekend, while my fiancé and I stayed nearby. It was an excellent choice for a group like ours. Everyone had plenty of space and privacy, and the private dock and water views made it feel special rather than just a place to crash. The location in Smith’s Parish worked well too, central enough to reach both St. George’s and Hamilton without much trouble.Communication with the hosts was excellent and they even set up a WhatsApp group chat where we could all coordinate. The lower unit was ready well ahead of schedule, so we were able to get in right on arrival, a nice way to start the trip. The upper unit ran later than planned though, past 4pm, because the previous guests left a bigger cleanup than usual. Worth knowing if your group needs both units ready at the same time. There also wasn’t any charcoal for the grill, so if a cookout is part of your plans, arrange your own or confirm with the hosts in advance.Overall, the property was excellent for our family gathering, well located, and very comfortable. We’d happily recommend it to others planning a similar trip."

"If I could give them 100% I would. Thanks to Danielle and Denise our stay was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered, making our stay comfortable, relaxing, and stress-free. The location was perfect for exploring Bermuda, with easy access to beaches, restaurants, and local attractions while still feeling peaceful and private. We especially appreciated the host's excellent communication and helpful recommendations, which made our trip even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a beautiful place to stay with an outstanding host, this is it. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bermuda. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable."

"The staff, facilities and food were fantastic. Special shoutout to Juan and Alicia. Very kind, friendly and helpful. The beach is a bit short (50 yards) so getting in your steps was a little challenging. Then again, you are on vacation. Would have liked to see nightly entertainment. Nothing crazy, just a guitar or piano player would have made the resort top notch for us."
