"Great stay and a wonderful charming town. The updated boutique Hotel was comfortable. However, there is a road right out front that is a little bit noisy and everything is upstairs and there’s no elevators. That said, we enjoyed our stay."

"Amazing get away after a long week camping on the coast!The goats where supper funny and entertaining, just doing there thing around the property. The pool was a super cool experience as well, just a pool 5 feet off the ground in the middle of Texas, super cool! Will definitely be staying again!"

"We had an incredible time at the ranch. The pool and hot tub were perfect, and biking through the property while spotting wildebeests and zebras was surreal. Ty, Leslie, and Adriaan were phenomenal hosts. We really enjoyed the safari where we fed both Tank the rhino and the giraffes."

"We were so pleased with this wonderful property. The host, Tim, answered all of our questions promptly and provided good information. We really enjoyed the beautiful waterfront with its large shade trees and very pleasant seating. We stayed there with one other couple, (my husband and I in the main house and the other couple in the guest house) and found the kitchen and eating area very roomy and well equipped for all of us. There were so many thoughtful touches inside the main house like extra beach towels, shampoo, and other toiletries. The covered boat dock was perfect for our boat, and we really appreciated the extra cleats for tying up. (We've been on Lake Buchanan in stormy weather before and you never know when you'll need extra tie ups). As grandparents, we appreciated that this house would be perfect for future trips with grandchildren and their parents!"

Waterfront Lake Buchanan Cottage w/ Kayaks!

"The lake view was perfect! The property is very secluded. It’s about a 20 minute drive into town. Being on a private road on the lake was peaceful and quiet. We were disappointed that the kayak had no seats and there were no life jackets. That’s one of the reasons we chose this property so it was a bummer not to go on the water. There is a canoe but without the life jackets the water was a little scary. Read what’s included. Bring soap because the hand soaps are all pretty empty and watered down. Overall nice place. Living room and dining area very spacious. Bed is firm but we didn’t mind. Property is within walking distance to the vanishing river cruise which is a must!"
