The Garden City Hotel

"We arrived late for a quick overnight before heading out to the rest of our journey. Didn’t get a chance to use any of the facilities and the restaurants were closed at the hotel and locally in town. Was very appreciative of the staff allowing us to get something from their small grab ‘n go counter. The food offered there was actually quite excellent. The thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was that even though I prepaid online ahead for my room, I still got hit $43 for their daily “facility fee” at checkout. It’s supposed to cover parking (which we didn’t have a car), wi-fi in the lobby and in your room, access to the fitness center and pool. In other words….things other hotels would toss into your room rate. I didn’t use any of these things on our quick trip. Glad we were only there the one night because that extra fee is PER DAY. This is a high end expensive hotel!"

"I had room facing the busy street, but the room was well insulated and I did not hear the traffic from outside. Also, the floor plan was very functional. Linen was clean CLEAN, bed was SO comfortable And the amenities of small fridge, coffee maker, iron, -and 2 water bottles provided with each room clean was especially helpful. Parking spaces were wide with ample space to unload and open passenger doors."
