We have stayed in many other hotels in the area while visiting West Point. This was a great disappointment. Upon arrival the staff at the front desk did not great us, he did not appear to know how to check in a guest, was not familiar with our reservation. He said it was due to a new management company conversion.
The breakfast was sparce and extremely limited, cereal, bagels and hard boiled eggs.
There was mold in the one ice machine for the building.
The room was clean and looked to be recently updated, while the halls and common areas were dingy and held a significant smell. The one elevator was quick, but very small. I could not fit the luggage cart and my two kids in the elevator with me.
The two female staff that were there at the front desk on our last two nights were delightful with wonderful recommendations for dinner.
Perhaps it is a work in progress, and if so a notice or even a sign stating such would make up for what appears to be a lack of attention to detail.
