"This is a great hotel, in the city center and walking distance to everything. The rooms are older and not updated a lot but well maintained and clean. It is a very old hotel and that is part of the charm. The coffee shop is excellent, pity its openings hours are not longer. The bar area is relatively newly refurbished and an old fashioned but opulent way. Has dinner in the restaurant one evening, the ‘Thump Thump’ of what they call music means we will not be eating there again. Why not just put some good music on at a low level instead of that noise. We spoke to people at other tables and they all thought it was awful. We asked the staff to turn it down, they did and 20min later put the volume up again."

"There are two Maldrons in Cork. I booked the wrong one. Once noticed the front desk staff was so helpful and contacted the other and got us switched seamlessly. I did not have to do any leg work. Both locations were beautiful and in convenient locations."

"Property was well-located and the bathroom was quite nice and spacious. There was a lot of noise from neighbouring rooms and the exterior of the building as there is little soundproofing and the doors do not have soft-close hinges so there was a lot of slamming. If you bring ear plugs, this would be no issue."
