Hotel Houze Detroit Downtown

"Room was clean. Building is old, but they've done a great just modernizing the rooms. I was on the 10th floor with a city view, which was fantastic with a wall full of large windows! Staff was very polite and helpful. My only complaint would be the LOUD motorcycles that revv their engines, blare their music, and run up and down the street right in front of the hotel late at night. Goes on for about an hour. Also, a lot of homeless people hang out right across the street at the bus station. They do a lot of yelling and panhandling. Neither of these are the hotel's fault, obviously. But definitely worth mentioning."

"Would absolutely stay here again. Great location and very spacious room. Didn't like the air conditioning blowing directly on the bed and all the street noise on Saturday night. Otherwise 5 stars."

"The Godfrey is modern and attractive with down-home southern hospitality and a jazzy good time vibe. From the moment you walk in you feel welcolm. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was a culinary marvel. Service was impeccable. And the place is central to all of the sites. I will be back."

"Staff was great and room clean. Overall great experience. The only concern is the 4 PM check in time. There is no grace period. We stayed in a luxury corner suite and did not get the room until exactly 4 PM in my opinion at 4 PM. Check-in is late usually 3 PM is more acceptable."

"Ibwas thoroughly impressed with the rehab of a former Fire Station Headquarters! The feeling was unique and nostalgic. I wish they would install a soap r towels racks inside of the shower. I had no place to hold my soap or towel while bathing. I hive the Hotel a 9.5 !"
